Leaf Design UK Artificial Bay Laurel Topiary Ball Tree, Green Twist, 90cm (3ft)

I bought this to put by my front door as I always forget to water the real ones and don’t get much sun so they die off. I thought artificial would be the way to go.This plant is ok....from a distance it looks nice and presentable however up close it’s obviously fake. The plastic stems are quite obvious. However, it looks smart and I still quite like it. Glad I don’t buy 2 though.

I was shocked when I opened the box, the plant was inside an inner plastic bag and the top leaves were bent because the box was a bit short for the plant. I teased the branches open but there weren’t enough branches or leaves (unwired) on each branch/stem to form a ball shape.I though I would send it back straight away and folded all the branches upwards again to put it back in its bag and box then I left it for a few hours. The next time I looked at it, it looked better, it’s not a ball shape but it’s pleasing enough for the money. It’s a Christmas present so given that I can return it after Christmas, I will ask the recipient if they think it’s good enough to sit by their front door and they can live with it.

Well packed. Make sure you pull out from the bottom. I am totally satisfied with this tree that is placed outside by my front door. I put the pot it came in into a nice stone one. Filled it with earth and placed large stones on top to keep it sturdy and free from digging squirrels/foxes. My kids hate false flowers or plants and they haven't noticed this has replaced the real one that died!

Disappointed arrived in boxes but when you get them out the foliage is squashed and misshaped and darker than in the picture I have tried to fix the squashed leaves but not working.For me that’s the problem with baying online rather in a shop in a shop you see and feel exactly what you are payingFor.

Very pleased! Tree looks great, is good quality and arrived well before expected. It was well packaged, and you have to pull the branches down to get the required shape. Each leaf is wired so it looks very effective and very realistic on my patio. We had high winds and rain at the weekend and the tree was fine, no damage at all. I placed it inside another large plant pot (the one it is in is quite small but weighted and has realistic moss) and it looks great. Very good value for the price compared to many others we looked at!

I’ve never been prompted to talk about ‘thickness’ before, in a review. But in these algorithmically correct times anything goes. The benefits of a real Bay tree beyond the occasional leaf being added to soups, casseroles and curry’s are the aroma which keeps midges and other biting insects at bay, pun not intended. These artificial trees can’t do that but they do look great ‘planted’ into a large stone trough with bedding plants at their base and some decorative stone to compete the look. A great way to make an impressive facade to your home entrance.I would recommend this item and you have to be up fairly close to realise they are not real. Lots of kerb appeal and great value.
