Stale with expiration dates in 2019
I purchased two packages of these on 12/14 and just got around to opening them. Both bags are stale - the sticks are hard when they should be soft. Both bags have an expiration of January 2019 and neither seem to have holes in them so no air has leaked in. Not sure why they are stale and it's too much of a pain in the butt to send them back. I think I'll switch to chewy and see if I can get better bags there.

Be aware it’s a cheap recipe snack
I started giving my dog these treats because, of course, she likes eating practically every treat. But once this treat started being incorporated into her diet, there started to be blood in her stool. I was advised by my vet to immediately get her off of the treat, because it was the only changing factor in her life. Sure enough, after discontinuing the treat, no more blood. The vet did exams and everything came back negative. The vet said it was most likely the ingredients in the stick that really messed up her digestion tract.

Pied Piper for training my dog. Shake the bag and intant listing skills improve.
This treat for my 5lbs morky is the pied piper. I shake the bag and my dog looks at the bag and goes pee outside then goes in her pen until her paws are dry. If I was a better trainer, I could do anything with this treat. It's almost like my dog understands English instructions when I have the treat in my hands and if there is no treat she is instantly unwilling to cooperate. I try to break off little pieces, but I still burn through it. The price is worth the results I get from my dog. She used to give me a stubborn sad face and lock her little body in front of the pen showing her refusal to get in and now she just jumps in and waits for her treat. It's not like I couldn't lift the little thing and put her in, but I think it's better if she feels like it's her choice and this treat does the trick.

perfect, healthy
Huge "go to" for my dogs. It's their morning wake up treat. And they expect it. Can't tell you if it's the absolute, perfect, healthy, vetted, organic treat. But I know they love them, so I love this product. I have a 10 year old French bulldog and she still looks like a young adult, so they mustn't be too "dangerous".

Beware of a dangerous product
Proceed with caution. Most dogs are happy with any treats, make sure you protect them! My golden retriever puppy loves these (in moderation) but has early stage kidney disease, while not necessarily tied to these treats, has caused me to look into the ingredients in what he has been eating.Dog beef jerky products (re: Fanconi syndrome ), can cause serious kidney problems. Check out their main ingredients: Beef, Meat by-Products, Soy Grits, Sugar, Liver, Salt, Propylene Glycol, Garlic Powder, Onion Extract, Caramel Color, Natural Smoke Flavor, Potassium Sorbate (Used as a Preservative), Sodium Nitrite (for Color Retention), Red 40, BHA (Used as a Preservative).-Propylene Glycol. Known risk to cats and toxic to small children. Controversial ingredient in pet foods/pet treats.-Garlic Powder. Controversial ingredient; some dogs cannot tolerate garlic. Cousin to onions which is toxic to dogs.-Sodium Nitrite. Chemical used to destroy the botulism bacteria; linked to lung disease.-Caramel Color and Red 40. Science has shown common food colors are linked to tumors and cancer.-BHA. Scientifically linked to cancer.-Onion Extract. Onion is toxic to dogs.

Great price....better than Walmart
If you buy them at the right moment otherwise they are the same as Walmart. My three Chihuahuas love them. I read the Red Dye #3 (or whichever) isn’t so great for dogs, so I break up in 1” pieces and they get two or three per day. Did I say how much my dogs love these?? So they have to be somewhat junky. Right? But other brands don’t get eaten so I buy these when amazon has them super cheap.Arrive fresh and fast. Large bag, different flavors.

Who doesn't love bacon flavor? All my dogs go bonkers!
I have three small breed dogs, these Pup Peroni sticks are about the same size ass the human kind you buy at checkout counters. Although I haven't yet tried them, they smell strongly like bacon and have a good chewing consistency my dogs tell me. One stick is enough for three small dogs, I piece them out twice a day. I don't believe there has ever been a recall, since I check pet product recalls by the FDA. Mostly, I am happy to see wagging tails when I say Pup Peroni time, the youngest climbs walls like a cat for these. I doubt there is a dog who won't like them, unless they are single-minded about a favorite treat. Pup Peroni is good for dog training, tiny pieces of this treat will keep your dog attentive to commands. Lastly, these 15oz bags are CHEAPER to buy on Amazon than at Walmart, if you have Prime shipping you can save $1.50 to four dollars. The Original Lean Meat is even a better deal for 25oz, about half the cost at most grocers. My dogs like both flavors, and I don't bother with the others unless there is a price drop.
