Bye Bye Standby Wireless Remote Control for Christmas and Halloween lights and Energy Saving Kit 3 Outlets One Remote

We got three of these sets (including the two extra outlets for each). Set them all up within about 20 minutes one night. As long as the cats don't hide the remotes, I think this is the best of the Belkin energy saving outlet options! We put the light in our back hall and the two in the office on one switch. We put three lamps in the living room on another switch, and the three lamps in our bedroom on the third. You can even set up zones where one button turns on a bunch of different components. But for now this is perfect for us!

My wife is a floor and table amp user! When we entered the house, she used to go around, turning multiple lamps on. I bought the Bye Bye Standby Remote Control for her. She tells me that it is the best thing that I've ever bought for her! I then bought another one for our other house! It can be used to control a multitude of wall outlets, either individually, or in a group. We've been pleased with the unit, and will likely find new uses for it as time passes. Easy to use & easy to program!

I have been using remote electric switches for easy 20 years. These are by far the best made and the most versatile. The price is good, and you can choose to buy up to 6 switches with one remote. The only variation I would like is if they were half size. But; no other remote switches are a more likable size. So, 5 stars to these.

I was a fan of Bye Bye Standby's old design. The new design seems to be needlessly cumbersome. The receiver's design is rather large and severely limits the usage of the second outlet on a U.S. wall socket. I don't know why they didn't take this into consideration with the design or usability testing. With just a little bit of effort, they could easily shave a quarter inch off the bottom of the receiver, making the electrical outlet below accessible.I suppose there are work-arounds, such as buying extension cords and multi-plug outlets, if you don't mind the unsightly solution and the additional cost.On the positive side, the resigned remote control buttons are better, larger size, more buttons, good layout (especially in comparison to some of the competitor's' remotes)

Very cool gadget! Very easy to set up and works great... I have a lamp behind my couch that's hard to get to but this solved that problem. I thought it came with two wall plugs because of the picture but it has three! Really great price compared to the other items like this...

I've had these devices for about ten years. I swapped incandescent bulbs with CFLs at the same time and noticed a $10/month decrease in my electric bill. [I am now almost all LED.] Along with other conservation measures, I eventually reduced my bill by 25%-30% over the previous year (bill shows prior year's use). Now, if we all spent a bit to save quote a bit!

I had to continually get up to turn our desk fans and lights on and off..not any more...bye bye standby allows you to turn on /off anything with the click of the remote ...I have used it on cable boxes...Xmas lights...etc...just awesome

My units arrived today, and I am disappointed to see that the remote will only control the power switch units if you are within 10 ft from them! It will not even control my A/V box power from my couch to the TV across the room! Back to the drawing board to look for another solution. Update: Two of the units have a working range of 10 ft, the third has a range of only 1 foot. Poor manufacturing quality control apparently.
