Considering that the short length, I would say it is a little pricey for the amount of material you get. But, for my application, it is what the doctor ordered. I needed something that was highly reflective and able to withstand high temperature, and this product is recommended for automotive application under the hood where it gets really warm. I needed to create a light reflector that would increase the efficiency of a lamp set up that I have. I used the self adhesive chrome strips to augment the pitiful output of the lamp.Since the sockets only accommodate mini-base bulbs (like candelabra bulbs) I could not find higher wattage than 60w. The only alternative I had was to augment what I already have--thus creating additional reflectors. This tape is very bright chrome and has literally double the reflected light! Since it is high temperature tolerant, I don't have to worry about the ambient temperature around the bulbs themselves. I am very happy with the tape's performance and it suits what I purchased it for. I can highly recommend it.

The inside door handle of our Tahoe began to lose the chrome polish and actually became razor sharp. After cutting myself open several times, I went to the dealership. I was informed that a new handle was not covered by warranty and would cost me $200 to fix. Instead, I decided to find a tape to cover it up. I found this one and it worked very well. It matches the handle perfectly and you can't even tell it is there!

I have chrome on plastic trim on my airplane that is chipping off. This tape was the low cost fix! It would have cost $1300 to replace the trim on the plane. With a little bit of experimentation and patients, this tape allowed me to repair them for almost nothing. It sticks well (the plane has been in very cold air at altitude) but you'll need to cut strips to accommodate corners. On flat areas with a scratch, I cut out a little square big enough to cover and you can't tell it's there unless you look close while the scratch was noticeable several feet away. Very glad I tried this!

Used this tape to repair the inside reflectivity for a fog light. The original coating wore off due to the high heat output by the HID bulbs in the housing, I could not find any paint that was shiny enough to replace it and that could withstand the heat from the bulbs so I decided to try this tape. Its been about 8 months now and still no problems with the tape that I am aware of (would have to unseal the light to see).

It pretty much looks like tape, not like chrome. I applied it to mirror holders, hoping to get a very smooth chrome look, but it just looked like i put shiny tape on them.

It's okay. I was expecting strips I could peel off for a drumstick, but it turned out to be a large, enrolled tape. It doesn't really feel like tape. It comes off easily after using it a lot over time.

You can’t expect a miracle with a stick on tape. But hey, it covered up the rust spot on my chrome bumper and looks a lot better than leaking rust. But it looks like a patch! Cause that’s what is. The price was right though.
