Pre-weighted. We insert the weight inside the car then seal with wood putty. This car will weigh between 4.8 and 5 oz after you add the wheels and paint.

IT WAS A BIG WINNER!
This Ferrari Pre-weighted Pinewood Derby Car was the basis for my Grandson's first Cub Scout entry in his regional Pinewood Derby.The car was assembled by my Grandson, with guidance from his father. For some reason, his car was painted like a Hornet.Bottom line, My Grandson's Hornet/Ferrari was a Winner in his Pinewood Derby. It was a winner by a substantial margin.*A trophy, a video and a very memorable day in the life of a growing boy.

Constantly stuck on the track. Suspect axle cuts. Not our first derby, but the first time we used a kit to save time. Very disappointing.
