I purchased one of these for my two cats. As a new item in the house, both immediately used it, but it's not big enough for both, so I ordered a second one. Then, they did not seem interested, until one who likes to scratch and pull, turned one over. They both seemed much happier with the bottom, so I turned both over, and they have been using them since. The blue leopard pattern looks nicer and feels nicer to me, but my cats obviously have a different opinion. The pads seem reasonably made for the relatively low price. I've only had them a few days, so I can't attest to the durability or cleaning yet.

My cat loves this cat pad. We have it inside his carrier. Nice and comfy.

I ordered two different thermal cat beds, both with the same "blue leopard" design. One (Milliard) was a repeat of an earlier order that I had liked and which had a pattern and color that worked with my bedspreads; I washed the first one AND because I didn't read the directions, dried it (which you're not supposed to do). The dryer shrinks up the aluminum internal "self-warmer" so that you end up with a "ball" of some loosely matted aluminum + ?, i.e., a lumpy mess. I. opened it up and removed the lump, but this also reduced the warming area, and left it looking s/w bedraggled (so I ordered another). It now costs about $20. The other (that I'm reviewing) was $11.49, a relative bargain. It's much brighter, almost brash, with longer fibers that are shiny - not as elegant looking as the initial one, but for the price I'll use it somewhere. Perhaps on a chair to keep it looking nice, or near my frequently occupied and s/t fought over lap, especially when claws haven't been clipped lately - a preventive prescription for avoiding puncture wounds. At any rate, I still prefer the subtler one, but I suspect that my cats won't see the difference.

I'm giving this four stars because my cat seems to like it very much. My senior boy seems to have a hard time settling to sleep lately, so I tried this to see if it would help him calm down. I tried it in his favorite sleeping spots and found that placing it on the bed worked best. He loves having his own binky and took to it right away. Like other reviewers suggested, I turned it over and he seemed to like the underside better. Unlike other reviewers, I actually liked the design! Think it's adorable. However, I am talking away a star because I don't sense much of a warming effect. It's there, but it's slight. I was hoping for something that would really feel noticeably warmer, and this didn't seem to do that.

My cats have constantly stayed on this mat/pad since getting it. The oldest, 16 and other 9. Highly recommended!

I could not rate this item on "warmth" since I don't use it for me - it's for my kitties. I have bought several of these mats through the years and all the kitties I've ever had LOVE 'EM. My kitties have a tendency to nap where ever they want - not necessarily where I want so I put these mats down on chairs, sofas, benches where ever I know they will eventually nap and when we have visitors it is no big deal to pick them up and the kitty hair is on the mat and not the furniture. These are easy to vacuum to remove kitty hair and toss in the washer and dry on low and you have clean mats in nothing flat. I just wish these came is different sizes since I have some small round stools that I have to constantly arrange the mat since the kitties can pull them off but otherwise I would recommend them to everyone with a kitty. I'm sure they would work for dogs but I have kitties. I have even given these as gifts to my friends kitties. If you kitties are not as spoiled as mine they might even share but since I always have at least three kitties at the same time I have to have enough to go around. Hope you enjoy them as much as our home enjoys them.

My cat love it very warm and soft and easy to clean

My older senior cat likes sleeping on this. I have it on a couch that is near our fireplace. He sleeps in that spot all of the time anyways, so I placed it there to maybe help him hold the heat. He didn't seem offput by the slight crinkly sound. I can't say for sure if he prefers it because it keeps him warmer, but he does sleep on it. He likes to sit on the heat registers, so maybe he would prefer the blankets that have a heating pads in them, who knows. It vacuums up easily to get hair off and I've washed it with no issues. I will see if he shifts his sleeping patters as the weather gets warmer, or if he continues to sleep on it. I would recommend for the price.

Luna looks pretty happy if you ask me. Took her a little while to warm up to it because it's something new, but now look at her! It's thinner than I expected but I've wrapped it around a bed I previously had (shown in picture), just to give it some more cushion. She seems to like it so I'm happy with that! Came wrapped in plastic packaging, not stained or damaged in any way. Good purchase.

I have two of the sleepiest, laziest cats and sadly neither of them really took to this mat. To be honest, I don't think it's so much a problem with the mat as it is that I've spoiled the crap out of them with fancy cat beds that have walls/edges, or are enclosed. My cats love beds with a small wall/edge around the outside because this is often what they'll rest their head on, almost like a pillow. Since this mat does not have any edges around the outside, I think that's why they never really ended up using it. But it's a nice-looking mat (I love the spotted fur pattern) and very soft, so I think if you don't already have any cat beds or mats this could be great!

It’s a really nice product. I bought 2 to cover the top of comfy chairs she likes to sit upon and leave her fur behind. The other side of the fur is a slippery material. Constantly fell off chairs. So I cut the slippery material off completely. Looks much better, form fitting to chair and does not slip off. Only problem…she’s not taking to it. 🙄I need to edit. See photo…finally!!! Diva.
