Size Name:50 metres Guidance notes are included with every order. If you can't find them, please ask. Very briefly: iron on with a medium to hot setting, using a normal domestic iron (no steam). Starting at one end, run the iron up and down the grain several times until the edging is bonded. A block can then be used to rub the veneer with some pressure to help bonding further. If possible, it's a good idea to practice with an off-cut before moving on to the main project. Great for doors, drawers, shelves and furniture. A normal wood finish (e.g. varnish, lacquer, wax, oil) is required to protect the edging and bring out the colour (which will be darker) and the grain. This edging can also be stained after application (before applying a finish as above). Please note: new, raw, untreated wood veneer will almost certainly be MUCH LIGHTER than existing wood. The finishing process should address this. To darken further, stain or coloured finish will be needed. This edging will have finger joins in it at random lengths. Great product. Simple and easy to use
I used this veneer for the edges of an MDF wardrobe I'm building for my step son's bedroom because I thought it would be a good contrast against the black side's. I have never used veneer before but I found it very easy to use. Some video's online say it's easy to scorch but I had no problems there. I also ran my router along the edge to miter the corners. The veneer held no problem and I would recommend this to anybody thinking of buying any. The only problem I came across was a slight uneven finish when looking at the piece from the side but that wouldn't be noticeable unless you knew it was there and was looking for it. That could also have been a mistake on my part because I didn't have a big enough table to router my piece on when initially cutting my MDF to size so some slight chatter could have crept in there but overall I'd say this is a great product
