Exactly the same as original--that's a good thing
I've been very happy with the magnetic bed on my Ender 3 Pro. Adhesion is excellent, though with time printed skirts tend to leave ghosts of themselves embedded in the textured finish. Unsightly, but it might actually improve adhesion to a small extend.Creality warns against operating bed temperatures above 80°C to preserve the magnetic properties of the bed material. A couple of youtubers have been running it at 100°C for ABS and claim it has had no effect on magnetic properties of the bed material. I'm going to be working with ABS for a project soon and wanted to have a spare in case they're wrong. Which of course is impossible. If it's on youtube, it must be correct, right?Edit: I said in the heading that this one is exactly like the original. However, I just tried it on my Ender 3 Pro and it's not quite the same. I installed the bed material on the original magnetic surface and it isn't as strongly magnetic. That's not necessarily a bad thing. The original is too strong and difficult to put back when removing it. It always wants to install a few mm too far to the right because of the way the magnets are aligned, I guess. The new one doesn't have this problem as the attraction isn't as strong. It goes where I want it. It's still strong enough to stay in place and lay very flat.I'm still quite happy with the product.

Magnet is strong, but rotation does matter for good adhesion
Idk what everyone meant by the magnet isn't strong, because mine is arguably too strong. It is actually a little difficult to finagle into place. The glue was legitimate 3M glue that was quite tacky but I was able to peel off to readjust. The only downside is that it's rated just under PETG bed temps, but hopefully printing at that temp just weakens the magnet on this monster some. Also directionality on the matt for the magnet is important so I would double check that when you're installing if you choose to buy this.

Surprised!
This build surface really is awesome! I recently dusted off my 3d printer (Velleman Vertex K8400) from being in the garage a year or so just to do a couple of long overdue projects and instantly remembered why I hated it sometimes, messing with the tape, gluesticks, etc.. it was always such a hassle. The machine came originally with a buildtak platform and while it did work, it was just as frustrating. This solved ALL of that... printed 6 models in PLA already, and felt I had to immediately share my experience... The models adhered well with no other adhesion methods, and when they were complete, with an easy motion of removing the upper part and slightly bending, the models came off with no muss, no fuss. I really can't say enough good things about it. I even trimmed the upper and lower parts so they fit my build platform perfectly! Magnetism is very strong IMHO, not sure why some other reviewers have had issues, I couldn't imagine with the way it grips on my machine.

Great - if installed correctly
The surface works great if you install it correctly. You have to make sure the magnets are aligned correctly (and they aren't in the box) otherwise the magnets are very weak. I was lucky and read other reviews first so I installed mine correctly. The adhesion is fantastic. I tried many of the common "tricks" on a glass surface previously, and non of them worked nearly as well as this surface. Just make sure you orient the magnets correctly, and put it on a flat surface (I used glass) since both the top and bottom are flexible.I installed this on a RepRap i3 prusa, which has a slightly smaller bed than the ender. I just had to trim the bed a bit and it fits perfectly.

If this product has been available for more than the past month or so I'll kick myself.
Why haven't I bought this earlier? What a MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT over what I had been doing.OK, so far I've only printed PLA, and that sticks well (but not TOO well). And removing the prints? OH MY. No more scraping and hacking.I bought this as an experiment, actually. I have a Sindoh DP200, whose standard equipment is a removable bed but not a flexible one. So although I could remove the bed to get a better angle for my scraper, and without worrying about messing up the bed levels, removing the prints was a real hassle. PLA stuck too well. So well, in fact, that over time the scraper left hack marks and divots on the bed surface. So, with a seriously marred bed I decided to buy a replacement from Sindoh. Same problems, of course. But then I thought... I have this old bed with a damaged surface but the aluminum subplate is in perfect shape. I wonder if I could put a flexible bed on top of that?So I ordered this CHPOWER Creality Ender 3 Magnetic Flexible Build Surface. And then I scraped off all the surface from that, down to the bare aluminum, and installed the CHPOWER Surface onto it.VOILA! It's like magic. Before I started using it though I did an auto bed level. I then printed a small rectangle to test the z offset, and so I adjusted that to my liking. AND NOW I AM OFF TO THE RACES.What a difference! It's magical (have I mentioned that?)

Absolute Trash
I'm not sure why it seems impossible to find a replacement one-piece flexible magnet bed LIKE THE ONE MY PRINTER SHIPPED WITH but this is not an acceptable replacement. Prints are simply not removable from the bed. The very first test piece I made, a simple circular model base, is now 100% melded with the print bed. Also, it is warped and doesn't make a level print, almost a third of the base is so thin it can be seen through. I printed almost a full spool of PLA onto the previous bed before it just wore out, and now this one is ruined after one print, using exactly the same temps and settings as the previous bed. Attempted second print job peeled off the print bed at the edges, ruining the print.HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO MAKE THE SURFACE BOTH TOO STICKY TO GET MODELS OFF BUT NOT STICKY ENOUGH FOR ADHESION JFCAbsolute and utterly worthless product.A total disappointment and waste of money.
