Q: Is this light effective if placed next to you (so you can read at same time) rather than look directly into it/have it shining directly into your face

Hi, you are required to postition yourself as close as possible to the lamp, at a distance of around 10-30cm. Continue with your day-to-day activities whilst in operation like reading, writing, making telephone calls, etc. Keep looking directly into the light for a short period of time as it is absorbed and shows an effect via the eyes/retina. It is possible to use the lamp as often as you like however the treatment is most effective if you carry out the light therapy for at least 7 successive days according to the prescribed times. For the most effective times of day they are between 6 am and 8 pm and we do recommend that you use the product for 2 hours per day. However, do not look directly into the light for the entire application period as this may cause overstimulation of the retina. Start with a brief application period and gradually increase the time over the course of a week.
