Kurt Adler 16-Inch Hollywood Woodsman Nutcracker with Owl Hat

This is one of my favorite nutcrackers. Well made, great attention to detail.

I have seven of these woodsmen Hollywood Nutcrackers. All are gorgeous. The detail on them is amazing. I get so many compliments on them when people visit my home at the holidays. I have given them as gifts and they are always a big hit.

The Kurt Adler Nutcrackers are quality craftsmanship. My wife collects Nutcrackers and I try to ensure that the ones we add to her collection are quality and will mean something years to come. This one was especially well-detailed and beautiful.

Bought this gift for someone that has developed an owl fetish recently. What a great gift! It's really looks and feels high quality! It's definitely a collectible. I read a few negative reviews because they showed up with broken pieces, etc., so I was prepared to send it back right away, but it arrived just like it should have. You can't really blame the way shippers handle things. It's like they target anything that says Handle With Care! But I still can't figure out why anyone would complain about a purchase that arrived broken, because Amazon would have just replaced it, no questions asked. I think some people just like to complain. Every large business has complaints against it. It's not the complaints, but it's how they're handled. The person I gave this to loves it and will keep it on display year round. Also, for durability, I gave it three stars, cause it ain't something that's suppose to be durable. If your cat gets hold of it, it's history...

We purchased the Woodsman and the Wizard nutcrackers this year and both are gorgeous with moving mouths and lots of detail with real feathers, rope and cloth. These are definitely good quality for the price and I suspect these will be family heirlooms some day as our young boys adore them (the nutcrackers are decor only, not toys). We will definitely purchase Kurt Adler nutcrackers again and already have more picked out for next year. As other reviewers indicated, these came well packed and the boxes can be used for storing off season.

This is a beautiful nutcracker with fine details. I ordered it for my daughter wbo danced in The Nutcracker for ten years for a local dance company. It arrived packed in a styrofoam case. Part of the nutcracker is wood, part resin and feathers. Very sturdy. Besides the owl nutcracker, I ordered another one with a frog on top of the nutcracker for my other daughter who also danced in The Nutcracker. Both are now grown with their own children....all boys....but I hope these will bring back good memories of how they spent countless hours dancing The Nutcracker. The only real confusion was the two different prices as one was approx. $25.00 more than the other, yet both are the same size with exact attention to detail.

He is my favorite! I received so many compliments on him too! I could become a collector of these guys if I had more space! The details are just so cute! They make a great gift if you know someone who loves nutcrackers and Christmas!

This nutcracker is beautiful. However, I did have to 'fix it' before wrapping it to put under the tree. 1/2 of the mustache had fallen off and luckily was in the box. I had to glue it back on. The box the nutcracker came in (not the mailing box, but the box that will be packed away for years to come) had completely come apart at the seams, so I also had to glue that. It is a beautiful nutcracker, and my son will love it, but for how much we paid for it, I think it should be more carefully shipped off.

I am happy with this purchase. Bought in advance for my mother in law who has a huge nutcracker collection. This one looked unique enough to join the collection!! Sturdy and well made.
