Eyewitness Ocean: Discover What Lies Beneath the Watery Surface of Our Planet―from its Sunlit Shal (DK Eyewitness)

As a child I remember LOVING the DK Eyewitness series. I would sit for hours in the library reading these books. So, when I recently discovered that they still exist I had to have ALL OF THEM for my child. I started by ordering about 8 different titles. I have found that the OCEAN EYEWITNESS book most closely resembles my childhood memories. We purchased the hardcover edition (you can choose between hard and soft cover) and the cover is textured and beautiful. However, the pictures inside are not as saturated as my memory holds. They are actually quite dull in comparison to other children's books that we own. The information and layout is what I remember it to be, large photographs and lots of little facts sprinkled throughout the photos. I still love these books, and would recommend them to anyone with children. The library binding is nice and seems like it will hold up over the years.Side note: Some of the other DK Eyewitness Books have a hole cut out in the cover to showcase a free clip art CD. This book does not have that hole, or the free clip art CD.

Since I told at previously, books like this suit very well in children or teenagers, although the quality of illustrations are superb.
