Scharffen BergerBaking Chunks, Bittersweet Dark Chocolate (70% Cacao), 6-Ounce Packages (Pack of 10)

Okay, it has to be said, quality of chocolate matters especially when your baking.I’ve so far used these making chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip banana bread and chocolate cake just to name a few. I have to admit I was nervous using these for making chocolate cake, a lot of times you can end up with a dry cake- ick, but not with these. I think that just says more about the quality of this ingredient than anything else possibly could. Not to mention, I also used these to make some fancy Rice Krispie treats, holy cow- they were absolutely fantastic- I mean this particular chocolate is my absolute go to!

Amazing delivery! The chocolate? These chunks are the best chocolate hunks in my cocoa brownies. Gentle. Not too sweet. Melt and reform like magic. I order here because, even in a big city, I can’t depend upon finding them in any of several grocery stores. But the reason I am writing this review is to let people know that they came this time in an insulated Mylar bubble envelope with two small freezer packs to keep them cool. This is an awesome supplier.

This is the only chocolate that we will use for our chocolate mousse. Perfection!

Flavor has just the right balance -- not too sweet with no unpleasant bitterness that tastes like something only for baking. Mostly, I eat it straight from the bag.

This chocolate is always 5 star when ordered directly from Scharrfen Berget. The texture and depth of flavor profile were not the same.

This is the best chocolate for baking, although I also use it for my eating pleasure. Excellent chocolate.

We purchased ours regularly on PrimeNow and fell in love with these little baking chunks. 70% cacao with a gorgeous hint of fruit and a lovely finish, no strong bitter aftertaste. On PrimeNow we paid about $3.50 per 6-Ounce package, here on Amazon proper they seem to be selling for double that and PrimeNow as well as Whole Foods has stopped carrying it. Disappointed.Our favourite use was baking and a snacky yogurt parfait (yogurt, manuka honey, strawberries, blackberries, banana, a crumble of pumpkin seeds, granola and these lovely bittersweet chocolate chunks topped it off perfectly with its fruity notes).Hope PrimeNow will bring them back at a fair price, meanwhile I will seek them out locally to avoid overpaying.Did I mention it is amazing chocolate? Yes, of course I did... so we're good. You get it. Buy some!
