National Hardware N278-036 V7706 Weatherstrip nails in Copper,3/4" x 17 Ga

Read several reviews that gave me pause before ordering these. They are perfectly suited for any task that you might wish to undertake with them. They are not solid copper as someone else noted, but a solid copper nail would be of no use to anyone. Copper is very soft, not suitable for nails or screws. Copper coated offers excellent weather resistance. I used them for nailing weather stripping to the jamb of an exterior door. They all went in straight and true, did not experience a single failure.

I added a strip of copper on the roof to minimize the moss. These nails work great to set it in place

As expected - good value

I used the nails for a copper shielded wall plaque. The nail copper coating came off while I was polishing the copper plating. Not a real problem when viewing from a distance. I also predrilled each hole. The nails seem to be stong enough to nail into wood but I don't think they will penetrate the heay guage copper plate.

These were exactly what I needed to complete a woodworking project. They were difficult to find in local hardware stores. I will be buying these again!

Will work well

Heads of “copper” nails rusted through the paint on my screen door and stained the doors. Terrible. Worthless. Obviously we’re not copper. Junk from China? False advertising.

As long as it is understood that these nails are COPPER PLATED and not pure copper, then purchasing these for decorative purposes is just the thing: a generous number/pk at a fair price, the rings adding very good hold. I used mine to provide for good electrical conductivity between two points (the heads providing the contact).
