I've used these for indoor plants, basil and cat grass.

It takes months for fertilizer to show whether it's worth it or not, but at least this hasn't killed my herbs.

New to an herb garden, mine are thriving!!

After repotting a basil plant that I bought, I added a spike and my basil plant really seemed to like it with rapid growth and lots of leaves.

Holy cow, or should I say holy cats and bandits! I feed a small colony of feral cats, and raccoons and other critters also visit. I ordered these and just planted them today. Tonight, one cat has pulled out a spike, and another cat rolled around on it like it was catnip. Then a couple of other cats tasted it, as did a raccoon. I'm glad to know why....it's made from feather and bone meal. I'm giving this three stars for now...might change that and update later after the spikes have had time to soak in. It's my fault for not reading the ingredient list before buying. Maybe I'll sprinkle cayenne tomorrow and see if that helps.
