Del Monte FRESH CUT 50% Reduced Sodium Golden Sweet Whole Kernel Corn, Canned Vegetables, 12 Pack, 15.25 oz Can

I have used these small cans for a while now to "veg up" one dish meals, they work very well. Unfortunately, in these days of inconsistent grocery store stock, I can't always find them when I need them so this offering on Amazon is most welcome.As to the product itself, the no salt added corn is very tasty and the quality is always good. I recommend it especially for those making meals for one.

very un happy.. the price per can made me hesitant to buy.Packaging and box were perfect.The cans as I opened up many have big dents ...I will never buy from here again...I have bought alot in bulk over the past year and a half. I havent reported any other disappointment.This is beyond unfair .... to knowingly ship badly dented cans. I want a refund

Del Monte claims that one 15.25oz can of their Low Sodium Whole Kernel Corn contains 490mg of sodium and 245 calories. Compare this against one 15.25oz can of Del Monte's No Salt Added Whole Kernel Corn, which Del Monte claims contains only 35mg of sodium and only 210 calories. [Why does increasing the sodium from 35mg to 490mg per can also increase the calories from 210 to 245 per can?] It is common practice for Del Monte and all other brands of canned foods to understate the amount of sodium and the amount of calories in each can by approximately 20% to 30%. The real number of calories in each 15.25oz can of whole kernel corn is about 276.

yes yummy, high sodium, if you eat the whole can it's 1100+ mg. So even a half can is 550. i don't think this is necessary at all. if people want saltier corn, they can shake some salt on it. Me personally, i would shake some NO SALT POTASSIUM CHLORIDE on it instead for a salty taste. Not the best canned corn i've tasted, though pretty good. it only has maybe half white kernels and none are small or tender. they are kinda crunchy. out of 12 cans,half are dented.

Due to my age and health I just love the convenience and affordable cost of ordering groceries on line.

Great product, great price! I have used Delmonte for years I love their sweet corn both whole kernel and cream style. I also purchase the green beans. This is a great price and I have been buying off of amazon and I save some money. I really enjoy this corn and its really great, taste like it just came off the ear. Very fresh and you can use it in so many recipes. I have been buying Delmonte for over 40 years. My daughters buy it for their families. You cant go wrong with Delmonte!
