Pros1. The compound action is very welcome. The maximum jaw travel of 6-0 mm is obtained by 89-31 mm of handle travel, thus right at 10:1 leverage, while closer to the pivot the jaw travel is 4-0.1 mm for the same 58 mm handle motion, or about 15:1 leverage.2. The sliding parts are reasonably well protected against contamination and are easy to lubricate.3. The construction and finish are clean (but no markings of any kind).Cons1. I wish the carbide inserts extended all the way to where the angled sections of the jaws meet, but instead they're 5 mm short (on the outside, about 2 mm short on the inside of the jaws). This means when you're cutting tough or big material, and you need the most leverage, you have to make sure the material is sufficiently far from the pivot to engage the carbide inserts instead of just the stainless steel of the jaws.2. The return springs are extremely strong. After prolonged use your hand can become tired. I'm going to try to straighten the individual portions somewhat to moderate the force.3. The outside of the jaws (not shown in the photos) is thicker than needed to create a true flush cut. I ground away the excess stainless steel to make my cutters close to full flush.Overall I'm very happy with these cutters.

Good product except the image shows a handle return spring between them. Upon receipt and inspection, they do not. They are full manual open and close.
