The coating /paint that they used on the 1/2" caps does not stick and comes off .The top two are from my last order and the 1/2" stamped on the other one is from the first order. I have not even tried to screw the black caps on to a pipe yet as I don't know if i'll use or not. I will have to touch up the caps with a black permanent marker more than likely. I guess they sell the cheapest cap of the week and good luck if it is the same....

Gee, I bought these gas pipe fittings to pipe gas. I think I will have to devise a test to see if they hold gas. They are the smallest, thinnest, pipe fittings that I have ever seen. I did not think of them as furniture.

Compared to similar product available on Amazon or at your local hardware store these are one of the cheapest for cost. You also get what you pay for as the cap is small compared to others (see photo) and they also just sprayed it black rather than dying it (also see photo). The threading is fine for .5 inch pipe fitting.
