This is a book the whole family can enjoy. Some of the illustrations most definitely are worthy of the talents of an experienced colorist. These are the designs that have tiny spaces and deserve patience, experience and the love of coloring. Even big old gruff papa might even want to color one of the bears.Other designs have larger spaces and are more simplified and can be enjoyed by a less experienced colorist. I can visualize a youngster coloring the bird decked out in ruffled polka dotted attire.Inside this book you will find aquatic life, wild animals, mandalas, birds, flowers, butterflies and more.PAPER:White, non-perforated 8½ x 11 inches in size. Gel pens may leave shadow on the back of coloring page. Some brands of gel pens perform better than others. The smaller nibs work best for those teeny tiny spaces. I had a smidge of bleed-through when I used a colorless alcohol marker for blending my colored pencil lead. Don’t forget the blotter page! I used colored chalk pencils for my backgrounds. Messy, but does the job quickly and easily. It does not; however, photograph worth a hoot!ILLUSTRATIONS:The designs are well defined. Some are intricate with bold lines, lotsa’ detail and bantam spaces. Gel pens are very useful for these flyspeck areas. Other designs have very thin less bold lines; nevertheless, they are well defined. Most of the illustrations are enclosed with a bold thin border and no background. Some designs; however, cover the entire page or are centered on the page. The cover illustration is not included; however, two very similar ones are.SPINE:The spine is glued. My book has been opened and closed many times, and the spine firmly pressed down for ease in coloring. It has endured without any problems.I recommend this book for those who want a simple design to color quickly, plus a few intricate ones to offer challenge. It is a fun book that can add a bit of whimsy to an otherwise boring day.

I’m new to adult coloring so I look for inexpensive books in case I don’t end up staying interested in it. I liked the cover on this book and in my opinion it contains a lot of coloring pages for the price. I would prefer to see some examples of the pages inside, but reviews were good so I took a chance on it. I’m pleased with the size of the book and it has a good variety of animals and other attractive images. Includes complex patterns which will keep me busy for quite awhile. I haven’t started on this book yet but I’m looking forward to enjoying it!

A little over 1/2 of the book has a blank line thru them. Pictures are nice with various levels of complexity. Although the line is a little disappointing I assume not all the books are like this & it was a limited quantity that had the error so for the cost & the fact I can color thru/over the line it was still worth it.
