Corningware French White 4-Quart Oval Casserole with Glass Cover

This dish is what I expect in a casserole dish. The cover has some doming to it. I ordered some smaller ones and the lids are not domed. The lids are thin and I expect will break soon. This dish allows you to put a roast in it above the sides and the lid is hefty.

We had one of these for years but one day some idiot (that would be me) dropped it on a travertine tile floor and it cracked. Since we used it for so many things we had to find a replacement. I ignored all of the other similar casseroles from other manufacturers and bought this one. Corningware hasn't changed anything over all the years this product has been available which is good. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I bought this to use for a large family gathering and it worked perfectly. The only downside I found was the glass lid. It seems flimsy and easily breakable so I was extremely careful not to bang it against anything when washing it.

Top doesn't fit it doesn't close all the way tight

I needed a large vessel that could hold a lot of frozen veggies, looks good, and FITS IN MY MICROWAVE! I love this thing.

The top did not fit at all. wobbled around. returned the whole dish. couldn't even use it.

I broke my old dish and loved it so I looked throughout the internet for one to replace it. Finally found one here. Have used it for years. Great for casseroles and cleans up like a dream. A classic casserole dish for all occasions. Wonderful investment.

A nice Casserole dish that hiold a good amount cooks, well, keeps the food hot on the table and cleans up easily.
