I live this thermometer. Its readibility is great and I can see it without my glasses. It’s waterproof and the accuracy is perfect. It’s easy to use and a great value for the money. It appears to be quite durable. It looks just like the one my mother had when I was growing up

First off, it doesn't measure the temperature of the roast. I put it in a raw roast at refrigerator temperature and it can't show temps that low. After the roast was in a 350°F oven an hour, it barely read 120°F. The roast was medium well. I was expecting 140-145°F for medium-rare. Good thing I didn't leave the roast in longer.Also the red arrow just hangs at the bottom of the dial because it is not tight enough to stay in any position. I thought I'd just take it off if the thermometer worked.This is the second brand of non-working thermometer I've purchased from Amazon in the last few months.
