I was looking for a small heater that had an analog off/on switch and a thermostat.. this way I can set it and forget it. I needed one with an analog switch because the other small heaters I have all stay off after a power outage. I need one that will go back to work on it's own after a power outage is over.One amazing thing about this little heater is how fast it gets hot. I also like that you can run it as a fan, without heat and it has low 950w and high 1500w settings. Compact and solidly built. Bought this and I was so excited to use it because it had great reviews and specs for a good price but after not even 5 minutes, it stopped and then it wouldn't start up again. I have tried turning it off and back again, tried using different outlets to see if that would fix it but it's completely dead... now I have to go through the hassle of returning it.. Waste of time and money. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Probably the single most important part of a space heater is that it heat. This one doesn't, or at least, not as it should.When placed on the high setting, it runs without problem for several minutes (giving performance comparable to most other space heaters in its class) and then begins it's cycle of turning off and on. When the cycle settles out, it looks like this: the heater runs (fan and heat both on) for about 40 seconds before shutting off (fan and heat both off) for 20 seconds and then repeating.This constant cycling is bad for two reasons:1) It's not heating as much as it should. Assuming it's putting out 1500W when on high, we're getting an effective 1000W from it (it's off ~1/3 of the time) with the turning on/off.2) It's actually extremely distracting. The fan isn't that loud, but it's not nearly silent either, and when it's constantly switching on and off, it gets annoying.No amount of redirecting, repositioning, resetting, cycling power, playing with the thermostat dial, etc would get it working continuously in the high power setting. The room temperature was 66°F (19°C), so it shouldn't be too hot to operate. I feel like it's some safety thermostat that's being activated to prevent the unit from over heating. I presume that this is a defect. Because I returned it without replacing, I don't have any idea how common this defect is.Worthy of note: When placed on the low power setting, it works just fine for any duration. But, I bought a 1500W heater, not a 950W heater (or is it 450W on low?, the description is confusing/contradictory).This was really the only thing wrong with it (all else is good, hence the 2 stars). I like how it looks. The controls are easy to use, so if you are looking for a space heater, find one with front-mounted controls (just don't get this one).

Purchased this for a smaller room, so went with a lower price. Well I got what I paid for . This thing just all around sucks. Turn it on High and it runs for about one minute, then auto shuts down, kicks on again 30-45 seconds later, then runs for no more than 20 seconds at a time. Auto shut off is a good safety feature, but this is ridiculous. Same thing happens on lower setting. It can’t possibly heat any size room only running for 20 seconds at a time. Who knows, maybe mine is defective...but I’m guessing it’s just poorly made.

Faulty tip switch rendered this small space heater useless until I removed and wired direct. A simple procedure to do if you have intermediate electrical skills but do not recommend as this heater will not turn off if tipped over. I was looking for a cheap 1500 watt ceramic heater for my small office space and this model was affordable and probably a better alternative than the ultra cheap wire heaters you'll find at the local food market. The fan is not very powerful so this unit will not throw the heat around but works good enough for my 8x10 office space.

I purchased this for my son's new house. His Room is very cold compared to the rest of the house and he needed something to keep him comfortable through the night! For the price I could not pass it up.It is good for 1 room but it wouldn't do any more than that. It has a very nice safety feature & as a mom that was a huge worry with a space heater. But any movement at all and it shuts off. Very happy!

This was a really great product when it worked! It stopped working only after two months after use - tried to reach out to the seller who is the manufacturer, but no one has responded yet even though it has 1 year manufacturer's warranty. I tried different outlets, I tried unplugging it for several hours to see if it would start working again, I tried different surfaces; but it just stopped working one day which was very disappointing. It heated up a small space wonderfully and was quiet and perfect, just really sad it stopped working only after two months and no one has offered any solution to fix or replace this product. I wish it kept working cause it was a great product until then!

This worked great up front and helped keep me warm in my apartment when the heat wasn't on. This thing stopped working on the fourth night the first product, and then after Amazon sent me a replacement, it worked for a total of seven nights. I am getting so frustrated, and getting sick of just getting crappy replacements.
