Excellent lower profile ceiling fan, quite as can be, good looking
Commentary: I have never installed a ceiling fan before. Measure twice, purchase once. This fan has a lower profile so it fits my home office pretty well. The fan is not too wide so it fits a medium sized room like this one. It would look bad in a bigger room or living room per say. The fan is so quiet and good looking once installed. I would definitely buy another.Packaging: The package and instructions were adequate.Looks: Looks very nice with the chrome finish and the blades being finished in a grainy wood. Very classical looking but not antiquated.Noise: None.Features: Reverse feature is cool.Assembly: Fairly easy to assemble, a few steps I had to re-read but first time installing. The harnesses for the electronics are great. And the pull chains come with attachments that look good and make sense. Good.Installation: 1 person who never installed one... took me 2 hours.BEWARE: Make sure you understand that you will have to find a way to affix this to the structure of the house. The fan is relatively heavy so if you are not sure of installation, make sure you educate yourself enough as to not hang this thing from a plastic fixture. I would never pay a professional to install this, but maybe ask a few people at work or someone who is handy. I wasn't prepared for this so I had to do some research but it's not the end of the world. Just beware. Conclusion: I would purchase this brand again (instructions, packaging, price point, noise level).

Very quiet
The fans are exactly what I wanted, not too ultra modern sterile looking. They really help cooling the room as I do not have AC. The separate light feature, dual switches and winter reverse features are great. The low price for a high quality Hunter product is appreciated.

Our second Hunter fan and still great
I like this fan mainly because it’s quiet and not terribly expensive. Install is a bit of a pain I think because there are so many parts.I've installed many fans as a home owner, and this one took the longest, about 45 minutes. it wasn't difficult per se, but you do need some common sense as the instructions are mostly in pictures and it's made in China. With all that said, it is well designed and just requires a bit more work assembling it since there are so many part and screws. Be patient and you'll figure it out if you have a half a brain :). Good luck!

Very Good Small Fan
would have given an overall rating of 5 stars but not liking the light bowl covering. Seems like a dust, bug magnet. To take the bowl on and off you have to thread the two pull chains through the bowl cap. Very time consuming. Other than that it is a very quiet fan. As far as the speeds go high is very high, medium is low, and low is very low. Overall a very good fan for a small room.

Good Value
This is a basic, no frills ceiling fan. It has 3 speeds in two directions. It includes LED bulbs for the lamp. Fit and finish is good and everything went together easily, all parts were there. The instructions were clear, easy to follow and well illustrated. Once it installed it was well balanced...no need for additional balancing. It did include instructions and a weight tape if balancing was needed. There is just the slightest of wobble at the highest speed. This replaced an existing fan so installation was straightforward. Assembling the fan was the most time-consuming part of the install.Pretty hard to beat for the price.

really pretty
Not sure how easy it was for my husband to do, a bit more complicated than our old one, but he is patient and took his time. It is very pretty and looks really nice in our dining area. Very nice one for the price.

Fairly easy to install, no remote control, a little loud, but effective
What a pretty fan! And it takes up so little vertical height! The directions were pretty clear and installation went smoothly. There is no remote, but I wasn't expecting one for this model. Fan does seem a little loud, but the white noise is easy to tune out. It does produce a decent amount of airflow for the size. One minor nag for us is that it doesn't seem to sit flush against the ceiling. There's probably 3/4" all the way around. Not sure why it's that way, but my guess is that the ceiling box wasn't installed properly. Obviously that's not Hunter's fault, but I've contacted them to ask if there's anything I can do to mitigate this.Unfortunately we only had 2 wires running from the ceiling box to the light switch, so it's either on or off from the wall. No smart switches seem to be compatible with 2 wire setups. One workaround is to get a remote kit, but I really didn't want something floating around that I could lose. Fortunately Hunter has a kit (99771) that uses a wall switch that reads the remote signal. I'm planning to install that later. So far we're all happy with the purchase and would buy it again.
