Smaller sized firestarters that beat the competition hollow.I have used fatwood, compressed sheets of wax and what appears to be sawdust - and they work fairly well. These relatively small squares can be cut into smaller pieces. They cath readily, burn well and are very useful at getting a fire going. No strong smells, either.Top quality at a nice price.

These work great. I use them to light lump coal in my ceramic grill. Usually only need one each time as they burn slow to get the fire going. I originally bought these in a grocery store not close to home and then couldn't find them locally. Glad I found them on Amazon and will definitely order again.

All I wanted was a clean way to start my wood fires and I’m trying everything out there. These will take almost the entire bag to start one fire but they do work.

Been using these for years in my Weber kettle and in my Primo cooker and they've always done their job. Never had a smell or residue.

Of all the various types of material to start a fire in the fireplace, this is without question the best I've found. It is both clean, and economical....no need for breaking things apart which makes a huge mess. I use 2 of the small bricks, along with a piece of thin kindling under with the cut wood, and this has never failed to light a fire.

Reasonably quick to light and they burn about 5-minutes, long enough for 2 or 3 of them to get a full load of coals burning well. I also like that they’re individual cubes, as opposed to a board that must be broken into individual cubes.
