CAS HanweiSH2486 Mokko Style Renshu Katana Samurai Sword

This sword is not brand new, it is definitely not used per se - the blade has no signs of use but the sageo being completely untied, the scabbard being broken and the plastic wrapper showing signs of wear & tear, its tape almost completely dusted tells me that.It's sharp though and the edge is somewhat true. It shows a little misalignment towards the tip. I wrote the Hanwei on their web site - let's see what they will say.Currently, it's not a safe sword. It needs a new scabbard.

8/28/17 Bought couple years back.Nice sharp high carbon steel blade . Hardly scratches and through heated. I don't use mine anymore trying to sell it if interested.

This is a great sword for the price. The 5160 spring carbon steel is an underrated steel for swords, but provides good edge retention with shock absorption. Tight ito, nice furnishings. One small con - it rattles about in its saya more than it ought. I'd buy it again.
