Got rid of my water heater's restrictive valve and put this in for flushing and draining.
So far this is working perfectly. I grabbed a brass nipple to thread from this into my tank and a NPT to hose adapter so I can drain the water easily. Once the valve is opened the flow is awesome and I am now able to get a ton of crud out of my tank instead of letting it all sit in the bottom and cause issues. If you want your water heater to last longer you gotta flush that junk out and sadly the valves they include from the factory are only meant to allow you to slowly drain things. Even if my tank starts to go bad down the road I will be able to install this valve right away and have a tank that will last for years beyond it's rating.

Garbage
Absolute garbage, look at my photos. Thing comes with smaller short thread depth, smaller and shorter handle, 1" valve weights in at 267g (vs 472g) and the handle is extremely stiff to turn comparing other premium Chinese brands at twice the cost. Actual color is ugly gray not silver looking like advertised photos. 316 is more silvery but not these in person so I'm having doubt it's 316 SS. My only like is when it opens, the handle position at exactly 0 degree and 15/16" on 1" valve. Then close exactly at 90 degree, beautiful but I don't like the lever action at all - too hard to turn and it's too short. And I also don't like short thread depth. Doesn't anybody????

Leaky, but acceptable for my purposes
I water my garden using IBC containers. The ball valve handle at the bottom of one of my containers snapped off, so I used this valve as a screw on replacement. It does fit my tank but it is leaky even with Teflon tape. Probably 3 drips per second. Ideally I would’ve preferred it not leak at all so that I can fill my tanks and leave them full so they will last until a day that the garden needs water. In this scenario, I have to fill them on the evening I plan to water. In that case, the valve restricts the water enough to be useful. And it helps that I can directly connect my 2” draft hose for my harbor freight water pump so that I’m pulling from the bottom rather than the top. All things considered, I will order another for my non-broken tank just so that I can draft from the bottom and maximize my watering. I would not buy this if it was for plumbing indoors where leaks really do matter more.

Good action, great price, but doesn't seal properly; its threaded sockets are too short for NPT
These are great value however the threaded sockets are half the depth they need to be, so they will not seal properly against NPT threaded fittings. (NPT is not a regular threading like a nut and bolt, the threaded pipe ends are a cone shape so that they screw together with increasing tightness until the threads crush into each other and seal the gaps. The length of the threaded cone is about an inch, but the depth of this valve's sockets are about half that so they never reach the tight end of the cone, leaving a leaky connection).I have been able to stop the leaks with the following song and dance: Apply dope (Weld-On 87685 Blue Seal Industrial Grade Pipe Thread Sealant) to the male threads. Wrap those doped threads with ten (yes ten) layers of PTFE tape (the thicker 3.5mil stuff), then another layer of dope on the tape and coat the inside of the female threads with dope as well. Then assembleI tried various other combinations of fewer layers of tape, different pipe dope, etc, but kept getting leaks until I was using the extreme amounts of tape with dope described above. This all wasted a lot of time.Otherwise the valves are pretty good. The mechanism itself works well and having it in stainless steel is great value for the money, just be aware that this comes at the cost of your time because the corner-cutting is the NPT socket depth.
