Needed better conflict and resolution
I love Sara's books but this one felt a little incomplete. I wish it was longer and Teddy and Kip's relationship further developed. The conflict seemed pretty weak - shave his beard or not???. Kips major concern was someone loving him for this money. Teddy felt insecure because she didn't have money. I would have rather them experience the mixing of their world's. Perhaps an actual chapter or two of the first time Teddy met Ronnie and Kip's parents. Perhaps the realization that Kip was really rich and they have a misunderstanding out it. Instead, it was never really addressed and suddenly the book ended. This felt more like a novella rather than a novel.

Omg!! Loved it!!!
O. M. G. Sara killed it with this book. I laughed....I swooned....I wanted to reach through the book and smack the s*#t out of Teddy's BFF. I was engaged during every minute of reading Jock Rule. Hands down Sara Ney writes the best banter in this business. It's impossible to put one of her books down. Then when you're done you want to erase your brain and read it all over again for the first time. The struggle is real.Teddy....the sweet shy scholarship student was the perfect match for Kip...aka Sasquatch....the captain of the Rugby team who also happens to be uber rich and hiding from....well....everyone....because he's terrified of being used and taken advantage of. The banter, the friendship and add in a hairy godmother.....yes.... A HAIRY GODMOTHER.....and you will fall completely in love with these two amazing characters.Jock Rule filled my heart with its funny, sweet, sassy and completely off the wall humor. I loved every minute of it.

Her Hairy Godmother
She never wanted a hairy godmother, but she got one and he's about to change her life.Kip is the guy who's trying to go unnoticed. However, his sasquatch-like appearance seems to have the opposite affect that he's going for. All he wants to do is keep to himself and finish out his degree. He doesn't want attention. He just wants to do his own thing and be left alone.Teddy is a bit of a doormat. She's always struggled her whole life, barely scraping by. She is at college on a scholarship. All she wants is a future and a steady job that pays the bills.Kip spots Teddy at a rugby party. He likes to lurk and observe from the sidelines. After a few weeks of just watching, he offers to help Teddy land a guy. He's wants to be her hairy godmother. What started out as an unlikely friendship, becomes so much more. More than either of them anticipated. Kip has his secrets, but opening up to Teddy turns out to be the best thing he's ever done. This is a story filled for hilarious banter and sexual tension that eventually comes to a head and it's explosive. The evolution of their relationship was both sweet and sexy. A great addition to the JOCK series.

Loved Kip and Teddy! I couldn't get enough
What I like best about Sara Ney's books is that it's never what I expect and that's a great thing. Whether it's the characters or the plot, the little things that make it a pleasant treat and always engaging. Never fails to make me guffaw with laughter or smile like loon too. Kip and Teddy bicker like a old married couple, banter with gusto, tease and poke each other like no other. They started out in a weird situation, both oddly indifferent at first but grew into a friendship. Sometimes it bordered on ridiculous and exaggerating.Kip is a lovable lug so to speak, rebel with a cause and seeker of normal. Teddy is normal but she caught her quirks and her mannerisms. The awkward moments were fun and sweet, their burgeoning non relationship. They grew a fondness for the other it kept rolling till it snowballed into more. I adored Kip, he was not the typical hero, he has his moments of fumbling but he endears you with his earnestness. Teddy fell into his arms at the right time, her sweet and kind ways made her shine. I enjoyed them so much I breezed through this. My only gripe? I wish there was more I couldn't get ennough of those two, it was fantastic!

This Jock left me completely satisfied
I don't know why, but my tolerance for New Adult - College is completely different to New Adult - Contemporary. I LOVE New Adult - College. I think it helps that Sara Ney's characters generally are at College to work hard, get their degree, and prepare for the next stage in their lives. Sure, there's drunken shenanigans and immaturity that leads to mistakes but it's not the focus of the story. Most of her characters are thoughtful, hard-working and determined to succeed. I absolutely loved Jock Rule from beginning to end.I'm married to a bearded man so I loved that Kip, the main character was bearded too. His character was refreshingly different. At first, he comes across as an absolute jerk, but as time goes on and we get to know him better, you come to understand why he's become that way. When he sees Teddy standing alone at a Jock Party, he's intrigued and goes out of his way to find out more.Teddy is a bit of a pushover and is forever being taken advantage of by her supposed best friend. It's something Teddy has always tolerated but when she's called out on it by a mammoth bearded jerk, it embarrasses her. The stranger decides that she needs a "hairy godmother" to guide her through the challenges of gaining a backbone. Shy and timid Teddy is not at all keen, but Kip - the hairy godmother, is determined and gives her Rules to follow.I loved that Kip is very different from most rich kids and if anything, just wants to be normal. He hides his pretty face behind his beard because he wants to be appreciated for himself not his looks or bank balance. I had a huge smile on my face when I realised that Kip's sport was Rugby. Both my boys play rugby and it cracked me up when it was described as such a vicious and bloody sport. I had a bit of a chuckle when the author talks about the players wearing cups to protect their bits and pieces, and had to share it with my boys. My boys gave me a smirk but were very quizzical too, on how you can play rugby with a cup in. You don't wear cups in Australia. This story, while fairly short, packed a lot into it. We see Kip learn to drop his barriers and let Teddy see the real him. As the story progressed, Teddy comes to realise that she doesn't deserve to be ignored, disregarded or used as she has been up until now. Her strength grows with her confidence and she even comes to realise that she can't always judge a book by its cover.I loved that both Teddy and Kip start their relationship based on friendship and scoffed at the idea of them being together. When the time came for things to change, you knew that their attraction is not based solely on lust which was refreshing.Jock Rule was thoroughly entertaining and left me with a big goofy smile at the end. It was very sexy without being overly sexual. By that, I mean that the characters don't get to the nitty gritty from the start. It was slow moving with intimate touches that showed their connection forming. No slam bam in this one and I loved it more for it.I loved all of the characters I met, enjoyed the storyline and believed that Kip and Teddy had something special that would last. I definitely recommend Jock Rule and I can't wait to read more of Sara Ney's stories in the future.

Fun Read
I really enjoyed this book but I didn’t love it as much as I did the first one. But I loved the names they are just so cute.Teddy is at college studying for her engineering degree, nothing has ever come easy for her after her father split when she was too young to remember him it’s just been her and her mum struggling to make ends meet. She’s sharing a one bedroom apartment with her supposed friend Mariah but she just takes all she can and they are growing apart. That’s how she finds herself at a rugby team party trying to rebuild a friendship that’s run its course only she hasn’t seen it yet. Enter Kip, he’s not like anyone she’s ever met before, towering above her, with his outspoken views and extremely rude but there’s something there that she’s drawn too.Kip has the biggest chip on his shoulder about his family money so he thinks he’s disguised himself by growing his hair long and a beard it’s taken two years to perfect. It’s his way of rebelling against his parents, he distanced himself from girls as in his experience they only want him for what he can give them! He knows Teddy is different from the start, she is too adorable to be at these party’s and she sticks out like a sore thumb. Watching her intently he sees how her friends treat her and decides he can help her attract the right kind of people. But he soon finds he wants to be her kind of people. Can she be the one to show him not everyone is out for what they can get? It’s a fun and flirty read that I couldn’t help but smile at but at some points it felt a little stilted but the banter between the main characters is just brilliant. Would definitely give this book a go if you are curious.

Rules do not apply!
Theodora 'Teddy' Johnson always plays the wallflower at parties. Shy at times she doesn't realise that she's being watched! Kip 'sasquatch' Carmichael is a rugby player at the school and he sees her, he sees her being ignored by her friends and being used by others. Kip hatched a plan to help her become more confident. Their friendship takes all sorts of directions but then it takes a direction neither of them had planned! A book full of humour and tender times. A fresh bread that had hope, and spirit and lots of love

Disappointing
I have read how to date a douche bag which I very much enjoyed. This started alright but then felt rushed, the standing up to the room mate, the relationship with Kip not all realistic

Great book
I read the blurb, and thought that I had to try this book, I really enjoyed it, it was different, but similar, yet still a really great enjoyable book. Well done.
