WOW... superb. Could live on this. Helps with sleep too. I take it plain.... it does not need to be put on anything else to reach its potential. And to think so easily available. Price is very very good. This particular cheese is tops among hard cheeses for nutrition. Others come close, like Cheddar... but Parmesan is 'always' at the top for dense nutrition.

It is an amazing value for the money. If you go through a lot of grated Parmesan cheese the way that I do and this is certainly a great purchase. You know what you're getting with Kraft products. I use other Parmesan for other things but I put parmesan on so many things and in so many things this is super convenient and tasty and well worth every penny ! I've seen some complaints regarding the fact that it's in a box rather than in a plastic shaker. That is clearly stated in the description and exactly what I wanted. It stays fresh and has tons of flavor. I have it on subscribe and save every month and actually have to order it more frequently than that!

Unsure of what the "sell by" date would be on the cannisters for $2.19 each (my price breakdown for the case when I purchased), I contacted a friend who's both a frugal expert and part-Italian. Because the cannisters are sealed, she assured me they can be tucked into the door of my freezer for long term storage. My family loves cheese; grocery store shelf prices for Kraft Grated Parmesan in the 8 ounce cannister is more than $4.00 each now. We regularly eat pastas and salads, but I'd stopped buying the grated parmesan in our stores due to the steep price. I ordered a case of this from Amazon for myself, and had another shipped to my sister. In each case, the cannisters have a "sell by" date of July 2012. We'll be popping some into our freezers, and I'll update here if there's a problem, but at nearly half price it was worth the risk.As an aside, not every product in a grocery store is far out from its "sell by" date, and those products don't get marked down until they reach it. At $2.19 each from Amazon, I can easily move one cannister from the freezer to the fridge as needed.
