Showing its age
I'm writing this in 2017. It's an intensive workout that will show results, but it was written a while ago now, and the exercises and recipes are showing their age. There are several ingredients that aren't your typical store-cupboard ingredients (raspberry vinegar is one that comes to mind), and though they were quite fashionable when the book was written and readily available in supermarkets, they now seem much harder to find and more expensive than you would expect/hope. The exercises are very much tried-and-true old-school classics- not very exciting though, it must be said. The program is designed so you can do it at home, but you'll need a large amount of space and a few bits of small equipment. The fairly monotonous exercises coupled with the constant shopping and cooking (and I LIKE cooking) mean this is a plan you need to be very serious about doing. I guess the target market is people who don't exercise much or go to the gym often, and it will be a bit of a shock to the system if that's the case. It's truly nice to read so many reviews of how this plan worked for people. I was fed up with it within two weeks.

very good book
title is a little bit misleading but the plan is very good, but you need to really dedicated to carry it out.

Amazing - hard work but stick to it and the results are worth it!
I had tried loads of diets in the past and always gave up after a month... so when I found the Fat Loss Plan I decided having a programme to follow for 8 weeks is just what I needed.I stuck to the diet for the 8 weeks - no alcohol, no caffeine.... and I lost 2 and a half stone in 8 weeks!!The food did take a while to prepare but the time it takes is so worth it in the long run.I still use the book now - a year on and follow the dinner recipes as they're so nice. After the Easter choc-fest I'm about to start the book again at Week 1 - but I don't follow it so strictly anymore... I still have a glass of wine and sqaure of chocolate, I just follow the diet and exercise plan.This book really is amazing, but you have to be dedicated. I've always been large framed, but at the end of the 8 weeks I had strangers in the gym commenting on how toned I looked.I would definately recommend this book!!

Hard, but it works!!
This plan definitely works. It is an eight week plan with all the meals and exercise laid out in detail for the duration. After six weeks I have lost a stone, am getting into clothes that were far too small, my thighs are thinner and bottom is transformed!. I feel brilliant and have loads of energy!! But this plan is quite intensive. The exercise comprises four sessions a week of about one and a half hours. The diet comprises lovely food but it is hard work to do all the shopping and cooking, it takes over your life. It involves a lot of fish and chicken. But if you seriously want to loose weight and look good then you need to invest some effort and this plan tells you exactly how. I would recommend it to those who are serious

The TRUTH about the book
Its hard to say if i would give this book between 3 to 4 stars, on the cover it claims lose your fat in weeks, well!!!!!, i have done the fat loss plan, and i can tell you, it does work, i have lost over a stone in 4 weeks, but the reason why i have only give it 3 stars is, i have started doing my own plan after this time, THIS BOOK IS HARDCORE, and as much as you tell yourself, i am going to keep to this book, you can easly come off cource, the excersize becomes everyother day, and it usually involves, 40 min jog, 40 min excersizing, 10 min streaching, that on top of keeping to the menu in the book, you seem to have a small amount of energy,THE BOOK DOES WORK, and i do recomend it, but dont expect to keep up to the eight weeks, but i must say, i wanted to lose weight, and i have, thanks to the book........

Great
Had to rebuy this as I left my copy in a cottage I had rented for a holiday. I HAD to buy it again as it is such a fabulous plan. Recipes good and plan is super effective. Sometimes hard to motivate yourself to complete but is worth it. That said, I often find myself reading it and not doing it! The intention is there though!

Very user friendly with results!
I found this book laid out so well as it lists everyday over the eight week plan and tells you what to eat/drink and how to exercise in an easy to read format. The exercises are all pictured so you can see exactly what you are supposed to do.It takes about 1.5 hours to do the cardio work & resistance and along with the preparation of your meals it does take over your life but no pain no gain! I've got half way through and haven't measured nyself yet however i know that i've lost weight and i feel much fitter so this is giving me the motivation to continue!I may not continue to exercise so frequently once i've finished the plan however the menus are brilliant with all the food being really healthy & tasty so i know i will use these menus long after the 8 weeks are over.
