I was trying to find a good book about the late Ms. Frida Kahlo and in my search, I came across this book. Honestly, the price really caught my attention. So, I purchased the book and wasn't able to put it down. It was able to start my journey to really read even more of the rollercoaster life of Ms. Kahlo. Plus the Author really gives good detail on each art piece featured in his book. I highly recommend this book.

I am a serious fan of the life and work of Frida Kahlo and this book is agood addition to the material I already have on hand. This book combinesgood biographical material, a great collection of fine reproductions ofFrida's paintings plus a good description of many of the paintings. For anyone really interested in the life and work of Frida Kahlo, this book is a must.

I first came across this book in the foyer of my bank. It was untouched and I tried to persuade them to let me buy it. No such luck! It is a pity that so many people cannot, or are unwilling, to see how the troubles and grief, mental, financial, physical, that Frida, or for that matter many other artists, suffer during their lives and how they show their suffering through art. Frida is a classical example. Someone said to me, when looking at this book, that she was self obsessed, but then, aren't most of us. She expressed her feelings through paint, not with fists, knives, guns. Some of our education leaders should perhaps look beyond the diktats issued and pushed by a plethora of theorists and civil servants who only seem to know three words - "IT SAYS HERE"

I bought this book for my daughter’s Christmas gift, and I know she will absolutely adore it. A real coffee table talking point, as well as being full of colourful Photos of the artist’s work. A book she will cherish.

I liked the size of the book and clear images of Frida Kahlo's work. The balance of text and prints work well.

Good size book with many interesting anecdotes and photos apart from the paintings themselves so it is worth having.
