Best toy ever
I will admit I debated and thought about buying this toy much longer than any adult should spend thinking about toys. It seems like such a cool different toy on one hand but on the other it's so simplistic I worried it would be boring and would just end up wasting space. When my 7 year old was about 3 I thought about buying this toy and decided against it. Finally last Christmas they were on sale and I figured why not and bought it for her almost 2 year old little sister. We have now owned this toy for about a year and it is a household favorite. It gets used daily and is the cause of many fights between my almost 8 year old and her 2 year old sister...they both want it all the time. In our house this toy has been used as a chair, a spinning chair, a balancing tool, a step stool, a boat, a helmet, a baby doll cradle, a space ship, a turtle shell, and a magician's tool just to name a few things off the top of my head. Extremely well made and versatile toy that was completely worth the cost. I'm actually planning to buy a 2nd.

Don't think about it, Just buy it!
As an adult, I didn't see what the big deal could be with this toy. Commercials always make toys look fun, right? But dollar for dollar, my daughter (4) has had more fun and played with her Bilibo more than anything she owns. I've since gifted to three other children aged between 3-6 and all their parents have been as surprised and impressed with Bilibo as I have. It seems extremely durable, comes in a wide range of colors (pastels recently released to celebrate the toy's 20th anniversary) and seemingly provides endless entertainment possibilities to the littles. It's unlikely you'll be disappointed with this purchase.

Every kid should have one of these
Where was this two years ago?! I wish my son had one of these from when he was a baby. He’s been using it to help with balance, or to get his energy out as he spins on the floor. This is definitely a good gift for a sensory seeking child. I’ve even sat my baby in it to rock back and forth and he loved it. I purchased another one in a different color and plan on adding to our collection every so often. It’s extremely durable and such a simple toy that has many uses.

Great toy for imaginative play
There are some reviews explaining that kids were bored with this and didn't play with it. I can see that being an issue, so I think this is a good item for when you're toddlers/preschooler (or older) is in a stage of starting to get a little "bold" with their body and what it can do! Our 2 yo daughter is just now testing what her physical abilities are, and this is fun for her. Our 4 yo has great gross motor skills and thinks it's great fun and a challenge. I am waiting for when they discover they can place it upside down and sit on it. It's already being used as a "funny hat." Life with kids! So I give it 4 stars because for the kids that love it, it's great- well made, essentially safe, great toy.

Its entertaining
My child loves it and pretends to be a turtle all the time with it! She uses like a stepping stool too! And she sits in it and spins and she will even sit and watch her videos in it! I got a red one and its bright too! Quite durable!

No Batteries and multiple applications!
I have three sons and the older two boys had one each already. Fortunately I found another red one to avoid any arguments about who gets the daily favorite color, surprisingly a little bit of a challenge this year! I now have three whirling dervishes! The only rule I give them is "NO FEET!!" They are sturdy enough that they will try to use them as little step ladders or skates. I'm not at all worried about the Bilibo, but for the plastic toy sliding out from under them, hence the 'no feet' rule. The Bilibo is is extremely sturdy and has absolutely no give in it, even when I or my husband stand on them. We tested them out of sight of the boys - they came up with the step stool idea all on their own! They make great covered passageways for trains and cars, sit-n-spins, buckets for cleanup time, helmets (a la Spaceballs), little chairs for movie-time, etc. A bit pricey but worth having a toy that is versatile and inspires creativitiy and TAKES NO BATTERIES or MAKES NO GRATUITOUS NOISE. :D

Great for building core strength and coordination
My cousin's young daughter was born with some issues that cause her to have very low muscle tone and physical coordination. When I saw the Bilibo on sale, I immediately picked one up with her in mind. My sister, a kindergarten teacher, told me she'd read about them and that they are great for all kids, but that it would be especially useful to a kid who needs to work on coordination and core strength. From what I understand, they've been very happy with it. Although she was still a bit young for it when I bought it, she's 3 now and she can use it while watching TV without really knowing she's doing important work. She has a lot of physical therapy, so I'm sure it gets very tiresome for her as a frustrated 3-year-old.I'm sure any young kid could benefit from a Bilibo. Aside from the obvious physical benefits, it's a very open-ended toy that lends itself to all kinds of fun uses - a basket, a hat, a house for little army men, a place to stick the family cat....

Both girls love it !!!
I bought this from seeing it on a web site. I had never seen one in person but it looked like a cute idea. I hate to buy toys that need batteries anyway. WOW!! was it ever a hit ! The 2 year old couldnt balance in it real well and would tip over to her side. So she drug it around all day for us to sit her in it and spin her. Then she would put her doll in it to spin . And of course it had to go on her head to wear as a hat for a while. If she put it down her big sis ( 7 yrs. old) would hop right in and go. Spinning or scooting or just a fun new seat to sit in. I would buy this again in a heartbeat for future grandchildren. So simple and yet such a smart idea. Makes them use their imagination. And all their cousins looooove it.

Best spinning chair around
My son has been using these bilibo chairs for around 7 years or so now. He is nearly 12 and very tall but still has lots of room in this. He spins for hours a day. Yes after 6 months or a year the chair eventually cracks and we have to replace it but for the amount of use that it gets it is absolutely worth the money. Sometimes we've managed to get 18 months out of one. Will continue to buy for as long as my son fits in one.
