BOSCH GAS18V-LI Professional Extractor Handheld Vacuum Cleaner (Bare Tool Solo)

The addage "You get what you pay for" is exemplified with this little vacuum. It has the reputed Bosch toughness and power beyond its class. Gone are the days when you pick up your hand vac and it feels cheap and ready to fail in your hand. If you already have the 18V batteries it's a no-brainer. If you do not own and don't plan to own other 18V Bosch tools, the battery cost could be a prohibitive deal breaker. I bought this for the car and found myself using it everywhere, it's that efficient and easy to use. A small LED light actually serves a good purpose in dark corners and in the car when in a garage. My experience with the sellers from Korea was one of the best ones on Amazon. They packed the box protectively and send it with due diligence. Even though I paid a little extra for freight ($10), DHL had the package three days later at my door in the US. Do not let the distance involved discourage you from ordering this vacuum that is otherwise not for sale in the US. They might as well have mailed it from up the road. The only minor downside I see is the difficulty in getting a battery level reading when it is inserted. It is readily obvious they could not engineer the battery placement with the battery meter facing out. The result is you have to squeeze your finger in between the battery and the vacuum to press the meter button and you can just see the level. Is it easier to just remove the battery and see? Probably!

It's a nice little cleanup vac if you already have 18v batteries. The battery life with a 4.0 ah fat pack is about 20 minutes or so, at least that I've found. Does a very good job of sucking up sawdust and other debris, The dirt/dust container is small so you may need to empty it multiple times if cleaning up a big mess.Pros- 18v compatibility- does great with saw dust and other light particles, and can pick up some heavier items as well- great weight, never feels heavy- built in light is very helpfulCons- small dust collection bin, need to empty multiple times if cleaning up lots of saw dust- the narrow wand extension (don't know what it is called) is fairly useless. Looking for a compact vacuum, I was doubtful that a cordless vac (essentially a dustbuster with an extension) would be adequate. But since I already own a Bosch 18V lithium cordless drill, and have always found Bosch tool quality to be well above average, I decided to take a chance on this product. I was pleasantly surprised. In short, the vacuum creates enough suction to clean heavily sooty and dusty floors. Using the crevice tool is enhanced by the LED light on the vac that lights up the target grime. So this is an economical and convenient solution for folks who already have Bosch 18V lithium cordless tools.NOTES: this appears to be a Korean product and is not listed on the western Bosch website, so I wouldn't expect Bosch customer support.While it seems no less durable than other dustbuster-type products, other reviews here indicate disappointment when it is subjected to other-than-light-duty. Look at the product pictures closely and make absolutely sure your existing 18V Bosch battery fits this product, checking size, shape and arrangement of the contacts.

I borrowed this vacuum from my husband's shop and did not want to give it back, so bought a second one for the house. Perfect for minor dust bunnies between regular vacuuming.Great suction, quiet, lightweight, easy to empty. Hearts and flowers!BUT: The connector to snap together two halves of vacuum after emptying stopped working, and I discovered there is no Bosch service on our continent that can repair it. Why? Because it is manufactured for European market only. Bosch USA doesn't stock the parts.The seller was kind enough to replace the vacuum after I pointed out that the listing did not mention it was for European market only and repairs would be impossible unless you can take it on your next trip to Europe (it would easily fit in your suitcase). So I hope that nothing else goes wrong. I still want to give it five stars because it's so nice, but have to go with four.

I have been a big fan of Bosch power tools for a long time. They always seem innovative in design and this handheld vacuum is no exception. I have always wonder why Bosch had never built one until now. This item is light and compact. It has an LED light that turns on when in use. My only con is that there is no special attachment for hardwood floors. I use it to vacuum my hardwood floors currently and it seems to do fine without scratching the surface, but a felt pad adapter or some sort of attachment would be a big plus. For a battery operated vacuum it has a good amount of suction power.

I really like the concept of this vacuum, but it didn't hold up. I drill into tile on a daily basis and used it professionally to clean of tile dust and very small debris. It is marginally strong enough to pick up the dust and debris on a good day, but generally speaking does okay. We had to clean it out very frequently, but the dust apparently made its way through both filters and now makes a lot of noise and sounds like its going to die any day now. But before that the button on top that holds the canister in place broke about a month after having it so we use 2" blue painters tape around the whole thing to hold the canister on. The filter doesn't stay in tight and falls off into the canister very easily, so I put tape over the tabs to make it fit snug. I've been trying to remember to buy a new vacuum for over a month, I guess today is the day. I'm pretty disappointed because I have all Bosch tools and really liked the idea of not needing an extra cord to trip over in tight bathrooms where we already have all of our tools out as neatly as possible, I bought an extra charger and two battery packs as well, so this was actually quite expensive addition to my collection and I had high hopes. Maybe they will revise it soon.

Wer die alten Blauen GBA Akkus hat, bekommt einen leisen und praktischen Handstaubsauger. Wer nur ProCore Akkus hat, guckt sehr traurig oder greift zur Stichsäge. Die Akkuaufnahme ist sehr schmal. Die praktische Wandhalterung ist im Bosch Ersatzteilservice zu haben und viele Verbrauchsteile und Zubehör vom grünen PAS 18 LI passen auch. Aber Bosch grün und blau stellen die guten Produkte gern ein. Also schnell kaufen.

A poorly engineered product that had a micro switch instead of a switch more in line with the machines power and a motor. It is however an excellent vacuum cleaner and everyone who used it loved it. Great for cleaning the car, stairs, thinner pile carpets and excellent vacuum for my ostearthritic 69 year old body..

Can't get these in North America easily but wow is it ever awesome! Has become the most handy thing to vacuum the hardwood in the kitchen and clean out crumbs from the kid's car seat in the car. Lasts quite a while on a single charged battery. Good quality, feels good in the hand (good balance and ergonomics). Hope it lasts.

Very handy and practical. Over time I have changed my value to this tool. It feels good when doing a repair, fix, or install and to clean up with this little vac. Its hard working.

Despite some of the reviews I think this vacuum is great. I use it inside and out and much more often than I expected to. The microswitch seems just fine.
