If you need a fixed point outdoor camera and have easy access to power - then this is a great option. I use mine with iSpy and completely skipped the app setup by simply plugging the camera in to my wifi router - browsing to the ip address and doing the manual admin setup (123) and then set up my wifi connection. I then disconnected the ethernet cable and let the camera power cycle and that was that - they were live. From there I picked my mounting positions.One note : The metal mounting can't be removed - meaning that you're stuck with that extra hardware if you plan to put your camera somewhere hidden and want to get rid of the extra bulk. I dismantled it as far as I could and it looks like it is assembled all at once. Initially I had some wifi interference issues. I have a Nighthawk router and just put all of my cameras on one network and everything else on the other network. They are 2.4 only - but with the nighthawk I can have my computer on a 5ghz network and use ispy with that speed while streaming from the 2.4 network.All in all - these are a great value. Once I got 2 working - I immediately bought 2 more and am planning on placing them after getting the necessary extension cords.(And the customer service/tech support is good. I did ask questions about the app and they replied within 24 hours and were very responsive).I'll update my review if they break or something.

I spent a week trying to install this camera. Originally, installation through app/ethernet cord (as indicated in the instructions) didn’t work for various reasons. The camera kept beeping or there were app issues - it stated that either connection timed out, the password didn’t work, or camera is offline... This was a horrible time consuming process. We have spectrum WiFi and internet connection is not a problem. I then figured out how to locate the IP address of the camera (went to my router IP and then saw all connected devices listed under “ethernet”, which included this camera). Using camera IP, I went to camera website (http:// and then type camera IM). I was able to login into camera website using “admin” and “123” as password. It prompted me to reset the camera password, which I did (if you already reset your password through app, use that new password). Then, I was able to type in WiFi connection on that website and connect the camera to our 2G WiFi where I didn’t need the Ethernet cable any longer. Doing this through camera website on my computer was better because the app kept crashing and I was not able to switch from Ethernet to WiFi within the Cam Keeper app on my phone. I thought my issues were resolved now that I finally figured out how to work it through WiFi, but no – the camera kept going offline… and then back online… and then offline… with no consistency like that – how can I trust this camera will protect us and record potential crimes?? Further, the amazon website stated the camera works with 128G SD card, which I purchased. The camera box states it works with 64G only. In any case, I wasn’t able to figure out how to make this camera record anything with my 128G card. To add frustration, the two screws (which secure the slot where SD camera goes) were totally impossible to get out  - see pictures. This camera should not be trusted to protect your security. Note we opted to receive a second camera to see if the above issues were going to be resolved, but received exact same unit as the first one (with same screw/connection issues). I contacted the seller and they offered to issue a refund and let us keep the cameras, but we are returning both as I cant find use for them. Save yourself a week of your time and purchase another camera that is more reliable. Seller is nice but the camera is not worth your time and frustration.

Setup was super simple. Picture quality and night vision are great for the money. I used it as a sorta live trail camera on my barn aimed at my deer feeder. The factory camera app is lacking, a lot of features don't work such as; alarm push to notify you of activity(biggest hiccup in my opinion), zone defense, motion detection seems either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.I will say the wifi signal strength is great. 4/5 bars on my barn approximately 100 yards from the router through several walls. It does what it needs to do for me, i just have to check alarms often and review footage regularly.

Great camera for the price. I thought it was wireless but you have to have a power cord. I waited to set it up for quite a while cause I was intimidated by the directions. Set up ended up being pretty easy. I use it almost daily to watch a second property.

So I had another security camera. Am I stalled this one? First of all the screws on the back where the reset button are or stripped. . So I can't use the reset button. . I got picture. But it will not record or playback.

Never shows to be connected can not view camera it just randomly records audio if left plugged in pretty sure I just got a faulty one it would not even work plug straight into Ethernet but couldn't return iguess they got the money screw me they could have atleast sent ky with it

This camera doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried to install it for 5 days straight and it will not connect. It will display several reasons why it will not work such as cannot connect to network. Please do not buy this crap
