Strong enough for (fast) commuting through Urban Jungles
These wheels do exactly what I want. Im not super heavy (170lbs) but I ride through NYC streets on my commute to work and training rides and I needed some bomb-proof wheels that I wouldnt need to true every week. I also dont see the need of spending 300+ on some commuter wheels. When the wheels arrived there were some loose nipples and spoke. That slightly annoyed me and for a moment made me regret my purchase but i figured i would take the wheel to the bike shop and have them tighten everything up before i write them off. I have been around 500 miles on them and they are still true, at least to the naked eye.One thing i did notice was that I got maybe 3 flats within 2 weeks with these wheels. I had recent changed from Conti GP4000S 21 to GP4000s II 23mm. I was running around 100-110psi each time I got flats. I have been running 90PSI and havent gotten a flat since. I cant exactly explain why 20PSI could have caused the flats on tires rated to 160PSI.Anyway these are fine rims. I dont cry over weight on commuter/training wheels so that didnt make a difference to me. If anything, the heavier the better. Makes you faster when you are on high quality wheels. They have stayed true through curb hopping, pot holes, crack cement, and general rough urban terrain. I recommend them.

Big Boy Wheel Set
Very strong set of wheels. I love to ride and needed a strong set of wheels. I am not a little guy (250lbs). The wheel set that came on my bike kept needing truing and of broke spokes. After repairing them over a couple of times, I decided to get a new set with stronger spokes. This is the big guy wheels. You can't run a light bike when you are a big guy. I am using the ride to slim down since running is not an option due to major ankle reconstruction. I recommend this set.

At first I liked them, but I started to get mysterious flats ...
At first I liked them, but I started to get mysterious flats on my rear rim. Tried different tubes, examined for burs, put in new liners, adjusted tire pressure... The spoke holes are just too deep/sharp. No problem with front rim, but the back has gone through ten tubes! Maybe a defect that I can't see, but it has wasted my money far too long.

Awesome wheels, TERRIBLE PACKAGING !
These look awesome on the bike and function perfect, Im also shocked that they werent damaged because the packaging they came in was DESTROYED ! Follow up to come.02/05/18 Follow upTurns out that the nipples on these wheels are it’s weakest point. As with any wheel, once ridden awhile they eventually need to be trued some. Once the spoke wrench is applied the nipple disintegrates. The spokes are also of lower quality and break easily. Also judging by the amount of corrosion noted, there is little doubt that steel is touching aluminum. Chrome plating is sub standard and poor quality. Had to rebuild the wheels with quality nipples and spokes. Once that was done I’ve never had another problem with them when being serviced.

Nice set of wheels
My Trek bike recently received this update. The tires are lighter than the original ones I had. After you remove made in China labels that were a bit obnoxious you get a pair of good looking and soft riding wheels. I did not have any issues with flat tires or pinching tires that some of the folks reported in their reviews. I like the ride and the looks and would recommend it as a great value for the price they are being offered. They look like a good pair of racing wheels but I think the weight is a bit much for that purpose. The only reason for removing 1 star is that I was hoping they are a bit lighter but I am not a racer so they work just fine for me.

Don’t get these.
I’m a nyc messenger and got these even though I knew I’d beat them up quickly. They roll ok and I guess look ok but they eat tubes for breakfast then come back for another helping for brunch. By lunch they still aren’t full and around 2pm I’d already gone through 4 tubes. Kinda ruined my day and I lost out on money for pretty much a whole work day. Add in $30 and change for all the tubes and now I realize that buying these wheels was a costly mistake. I ended up borrowing a rear and using my old front while the shop rebuilt my old Mavic for $300 which is what I shoulda done in the first place. I wouldn’t get these if I were you.

Received wrong freehub
Awesome looking wheels. However I was sent the wrong back wheel. Item states it's a Shimano/SRAM compatible. The wheels I received have a Campagnolo freehub. I already pulled the stickers off of the rims (my fault, I know, should've checked that they were right first), so now stuck ordering a Shimano freehub and pulling the old one off of my old wheel. (I'd planned on using the old wheel and tire on my trainer)

These wheels have been great and after almost 500 miles, are still true!Hub bearings still smooth, no issues at all!Excellent bargain for such a great looking, smooth rolling wheel set! This wheelset is a bit on the heavy side but that’s expected with such an affordable set. For my needs perfectly!Wonderful set of wheels!
