Tuga Boys Jammer Swim Short 2-14 Years, UPF 50+ Sun Protection Swim Bottom

I bought these in an 8/10 for my lean 9 yo. They fit almost perfectly. They are just a little big on the waist, but they have a drawstring on the inside that we tie, and he has absolutely no problem with them slipping. He is in triathlon training for the entire summer, and has been doing all of his practices and events in these jammers. He wears them during the running and biking portions as well as the swimming, and they have held up remarkably well!! No signs of weakness or rubbing at all after 2 months of 4 day a week practices and events.

We have been purchasing Tuga Boys swim jammers for several years now. Regular swim trunks were causing chafing on my son's legs, especially when swimming in the ocean. We decided to try jammers, which work great for him. After trying a few other brands we found Tuga. The quality is great, we usually have two pairs which we use all summer long, occasionally at the beach, but mostly in the (non-clorinated) pool. I have noticed that chlorinated pools do cause them to fade and break down more quickly. My son is in the size 13/14, he is 12 years old, 5'4" and slim with a 26" waist, so he is at the upper end of these fitting. My only quibble is there is no larger kids sizes in Tuga that will fit him. We will have to go to men's sizing but I think they will be too large right now, and don't come in as many fun patterns.

These are really great swimmers for boys. I have a 3 year old swimmer and he was having trouble keeping is body up. His swim teacher recommended switching from the traditional board shorts to these. Great advice! This help with the drag and makes it so much easier for him!The fit is great, buy as you would his clothes. My little guy is slim, with a tiny waist, so I got him a 2/3 and it fits great.

My son wears size 7 slim pants and I bought him size 4/5 yrs and they're still roomy. He loves these (and so do I!) because he has no trouble getting them up and down to go to the bathroom when he's wet, they stay up when he's swimming and playing in the water, they fit great under clothes, and they're comfy. After seven months of weekly wear they did get quite faded, though, but I ended up buying another pair because otherwise, they're great!

My kid likes the suit. We already knew that it wouldn't be snug on my son's leg, as I had read the other reviews before purchasing. I'm just used to swim trunks that have a bit of a liner. A pair of underwear under the trunks solves that issue, but I'm just not used to requiring underpants for swimming.

I didn't want these to be skin tight for my son, so I ordered up to the age 11-12. (He's 9 and about 75 lbs, 52" tall). He's not on swim team, he just gets rubbed buy the lining of traditional boxer style trunks so a friend suggested these. While this size fit OK, they were a bit large in the waist and I worried when wet they would sag. But I (and he) liked the product enough that we kept them to grow into, and ordered the next size down. Those are right on the money, though they haven't been water tested yet. I already like the quality though. The thickness and construction are similar to the Land's End rash guard sun shirts he swims in, which hold up well through a season of summer chlorine and salt water. Despite not being lined, they are thick and hold their shape to remain modest looking (not too clingy in the groin and bootie regions).

While these are very cute swim jammers,I had to send them back. The waist seemed like a good fit, but the legs were not snug enough and too long. I could tell that once in the water they would be stretched out and baggy. My son is husky - beefy legs, so I was surprised these were not snug. He also has short legs, so the length wasn't a shocker. Sent back. I found a pair of men's shorts jammers and they are perfect for my kid.As he never wore these in the water I give these the three star review.

Love Tuga! Each year we buy this brand of shirt and jammers for my son. He’s a very tall and thick kid. He’s not fat just big. He often gets a rash between his legs from Board shorts or trunks. The janmers prevent chaffing and this long sleeve rash guard prevents sunburn. It’s so nice to feel confident at the beach that your kid can play all day without discomfort or sunburn. These wash great, I even dry them. This brand is amazing.
