I received this product today 3/11/19 and at first I must say the presentation of the box is very nice. When I tried to switch the on button on it was stiff at first and I thought it had gas in it but luckily I had two tins of gas refill and I refill the Jet Flame Lighter and then I turned the cap at the bottom to see the flame but as soon as I turned on the on button and press the leaver the blue flame came out as in the picture displayed! I must say it's very elegant and very light to handle and worth the money.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought the very nicely styled 40cm model by Megainvo.User Manual was missing from the box.I was quite surprised that there was no polythene/sleeve around the "presentation" box, to keep it securely closed.Added the butane, and off we go: Ignition & flame seem adequate.I then noticed that the switch didn’t always go down far enough to ignite. This seems to be due to some play in the switch, so it needed to be pressed to one side.PROBLEM / Safety Issue - when I released the trigger the flame continued, i.e.- it didn't cut-out immediately. I tried switching on & off several times and it seemed to improve slightly. But then I tried keeping it switched on for longer (as I would when lighting my fire) and I found it took much longer to extinguish, as in "Unacceptably" too much longer. For some Older or Infirm Folk this issue could be potentially fatal. I have now found that at least one other Reviewer has also highlighted this issue.This problem persisted so I have arranged for a Return.The instruction on the box states "Make sure lighter is completely extinguished after use" but I cannot believe this can be accepted as adequate alongside this "fault".So far, I have not found any CE certification on either the product or it's packaging !All a shame really, it's a smart looking piece of kit. *** SEE SUPPLIERS COMMENTS BELOW ****** I HAVE ALSO RECEIVED FURTHER POSITIVE REASSURANCES FROM MEGAINVO ***

Bought this to light my log stove it's long reach is good for getting to a well hidden fire lighter.I had a problem with the first one sent, the flame was very small and it did not always ignite. The seller quickly replaced it, the second one has a much better flame and ignites first time but continues to burns at low level for some time after you release the trigger, usable as long as you notice and don't put it down straight away. I was surprised at how light it is.

Maybe I got the only bad one in a batch.But sadly this hasn't performed much at all.Hasn't really worked properly since it arrived.Gas is full, but won't ignite no matter what setting it is on.For the size of the item you would think it to be bomb proof.I wanted it for lighting candles in Big jars etc.It looks like a turbo flame 🔥 at the end of the nozzle, but sadly it's a bit Robin reliant 🙁

A lond flexible wand head makes lighting difficult areas easy. The lock button was very stiff at first but has eased as the torch has been used. The flame continues for several seconds after the trigger is released which might be a safety issue if you put the torch down immediately after use - this also makes it a bit of a gas guzzler. The flame is really fierce on maximum setting, and would do a creditable job of searing sugar for a Creme Brulee. It is excellent for lighting fires in our woodburner. A very nice tool that does what it says, and more!

Broke within days. Rubbish.Edit: Supplier has reached out and offered a replacement without the hassle of returning the original. Giving 3 stars for customer service. Will review again if replacement lasts longer

Works but not good for BBQ firing - goes out unless in open air

In the three months of ownership and use, the lighter is working as it should. The performance is very good and the flexible neck allows for increased ease of use; it also lights reliably, for the most part, on the first attempt. If I had to make one point of contention, it would be that I would have preferred an all metal construction: in particular, I refer to the safety switch and trigger.To summaries, I am happy with the product, and hope that it continues to function well...
