Fair WARNING
If you loved the origninal WAVE by Clarks like I did, (I owned 4 consecutive pairs of them), you may be disappointed with these. I've been a loyal Clarks brand customer for at least 10 - 12 years. Clarks has always been the brand that worked for my problematic and difficult to fit feet...I could count on them fitting and being comfortable. I was eagerly looking forward to that same experience when I placed my order for this pair of shoes. However, the WIDE width seems narrower than usual and the tongue has been stitched down in such a way that makes the shoe tight over my arch. The length seems OK but the toe in this new style is less boxy and rounded (comes to more of a point) than in the old version, so, they seem a bit snug in the toes as well. I've only worn them a few days so far but they're stiff and tight...I'm hoping they'll break in and I'll once again find that old Clarks comfort I'm used to. Despite these issues, I've given them a 3 star rating because they are of the same high quality construction as all Clarks, they still have the removable insole for orthotics and it didn't seem fair to give a lower ranking since I've only worn the shoes a few days.

Cute, comfortable, low cut Wave shoes. Easy walking; lots of compliments!
I am enjoying these shoes! I've owned various styles of Clarks wave shoes and was so disappointed when I was no longer able to find them except in clunky sneaker-type styles. But these shoes are really nice! I've received several compliments on the overall look and low cut style. Very comfortable. The wave style makes walking so much easier and faster. The only complaint I have is that the shoe tongue for the right shoe is a tad longer than the left. It hits right where the foot and leg connect on the top side, thus causing a blister. Thankfully I was able to adjust the tongue enough to avoid further irritation. As to sizing, I am a true size 8. It fits perfectly. However, if I wanted to wear heavier socks for winter, I would need to upsize. These shoes are waterproof. I am not a big fan of boots, and so far these have worked well for winter snow - no cold or wet feet! But because they are what I consider medium light weight shoes (a big plus for me!), if you live in continually heavy snow areas and need deep sole grip, these are not meant for that kind of use.

Long break-in period
I love the look and comfort of these shoes. Unlike my past Clarks walking shoes, these are taking a really long time to break in. Maybe it's because the sole it thicker and the overall shoe is more stiff? I recommend covering your heel with duct tape the first few weeks of use (maybe longer? I'm still dealing with blisters and band-aids). Hopefully I will reach a point at which I don't need heel coverage to walk in these, because so far it's been really disappointing to experience.

Great so far. Not too far off from the old Trek style.
They are holding up well so far. They are a bit different than the old wave trek I had. The look is similar. The back ankle height of the sneakers are pretty low. They are stiff but comfortable after you’ve worn them for at least 5 minutes, you forget you are wearing them. They are nice and lightweight and not bulky at all. I have not had a chance to test the waterproof-ness of them yet.

Wife's favorite shoes for long walks
My wife loves these, and has gone through 3 pairs. These have the comfort, cushioning, fit, support, traction, water resistance and durability to handle frequent long walks in the city. They are relatively durable. The outsoles have an average lifespan, could be a bit better in that aspect. These are among the only shoes my wife can put on out of the box, and comfortably walk a few miles.

Great pair of shows!
Great pair of shoes. Was going to buy these at a Clark's store in the mall, but they were cheaper on Amazon. If available, I try to buy shoes that are size Narrow, because I have very narrow feet. I have another pair of Clark's Wavewalk shows that are a size Narrow and fit me perfectly. Yet the body of the shoe was a bit more bulkier than these Andes Wavewalk shoes. I got this pair in size Medium, and they are plenty tight around my feet, in fat, a size Narrow in these shoes might have been too tight for me.They do take some time to break into however. Also, if I am wearing these shows more 4+ hours straight, my feet do start to hurt, so they may not be the best for someone who works an 8+ hour shift at a job, or something like that.

Why didn't I try these sooner
In my younger days Clarks were the only shoes I bought. Now that I am 64 and live in Wyoming I only wear certain types of shoes. A pair of skechers, walking shoes, cowboy boots, snow boots and must have Ariats. I tried walking shoes with Merrill and Oboz. They were so uncomfortable and hard fabric on my feet. And my feet hurt after just having on for 30 minutes. Break in period was not in the plan. Came across the Clarks after surfing on Amazon. Love them. A softer shoe. Comfortable from the beginning. Well- made and water resistant. My only complaint is that the laces need to be longer. Simple thing to replace for comfort.

ankle rubbed
I'm a big fan of Clarks shoes and it was time to replace my favorite walking shoes. I wanted some exactly like the onesI had, but Clarks doesn't make them anymore. The problem is that these new shoes fit too high and choke my ankles. Since i was close to an outlet store, I decided to go see what other style of sporty walking shoe was made by Clarks and stocked there. I was so disappointed. Clarks, I wish I knew the name of my old shoes. They have been to 3 different countries with me and sightseeing was a breeze not to mention the walks I took around the neighborhood. And the ankle fit perfectly! I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for a great shoe.

Disappointing
Unfortunately these shoes did not fit well. They were very wide at the back of the shoe, and as they are walking shoes, this was no use. They also did not feel as comfortable as I expected, I expected a more padded sole. I'm an avid Clark's shoe buyer, so this was a great disappointment.

9W is a bit narrower than expected and a bit shorter
I doubted the reviewers who said that 9W was too small but 9.5W was too big - it's just 0.5 a size. I should have listen to them, it would spare me of the hassle of return. Otherwise, solid Clark's quality, nice model, should hold shape well. Yet, the fit is weird. I generally wear Clark's 9W but this time they were shortish in the length and not as comfortably wide as the rest of my Clark's shoes. 9.5W fell sufficiently wide but too long. Adding thicker socks would jeopardize the width, hence, they had to be returned. They might work for somebody who wears 9.5W in Clarks, so you might still want to give them a shot.

Not a comfortable shoe
I read some reviews that said this wasn’t a comfortable walking shoe but since I’ve always had good luck with Clarks , I decided to give it a go. I wore them around the house and they felt okay. I just got back from my first walk outside and have to say these are not comfortable at all on hard surfaces like sidewalks. The shoes are rock hard with absolutely no flex. They somehow squish my toes together when I walk even though there is plenty of room in the toe box. One shoe rubs a bit on the back of my heel. This is not what I expect from Clarks, I usually just put them on and go with no breaking in whatsoever. If you do decide to order them, they seem to be a small fit. All my other Clarks shoes are size 9 or 9.5. Since walking shoes quite often seem to fit small, I ordered a 10.5 figuring they might be a bit big but would be okay with thicker socks. These shoes just fit, no extra room at all. My foot is a AA, I ordered a Medium and, again, they just fit. Clarks’ quality certainly seems to have gone downhill. Since I’ve now worn them outside, I can’t return them and can only hope these expensive shoes break in. :(

Not as good as original pair....
My first pair of these shoes that I got several years ago (at a shoe store) were great. Comfortable and great to wear for long walks. This pair new pair do not fit as well and are actually bothering one heel. Just do not seem to be made as well and are not as comfortable.
