Huge hit!
We gave this book, with a box of duct tape, cardboard, and other supplies as a Christmas gift to our 3 boys (5, 8, 10 yrs). This was by far their favorite gift of everything they received! They have made a few items from book, as well as a cardboard castle. Absolutely love the imagination and play this book promoted. Will be ordering more from the series!

Gift for eight year old
We got this as a gift for our eight year old who is big into tape crafts right now. He was able to make multiple things from the book on his own.

Fun, keeps the boys busy; swords and armor are safe and SO realistic!
I am totally enthralled with this book. I had a lot of projects with my daughter and I wanted something that my sons could do as well that would keep their interest for longer than a day. This book is a HUGE hit with my boys from ages 5 all the way up to 12. They've made most of the projects in here with relatively small cost (mostly duct tape and some foam, pvc piping, etc...) and the quality of the designs are so good that they can even be used as accessories for knight's costumes. They are making loads of sets now for when their friends come over and EVERY SINGLE friend has begged them to make them one to take home. So they are definitely a huge hit for boys!!!But the greatest thing, in my mind, is that not only do THEY love it, but I do too. The swords are safe; the shields are not only realistic but they also work great. The materials are easy to get. The boys are BUSY building these things for hours! I bought different colors of duct tape so they could decorate their shields in different knightly patterns. So neat! For the parents who are using this as an addition for school... there is a whole section on the scenarios these weapons would be used with; what chivalry is and how it applies to using them. How to play "knights" fairly, etc... so it's not just a building book for toys but also for character and history. It's clean and no nonsense... perfect for picky parents. I highly recommend it!

Fun ideas for kids!
My boys (ages 10, 8 & 5) saw these books and immediately wanted to buy them. They are "boys to-the-core" and are obsessed with all things that involve guns & swords. Because we'd only seen these books online, we weren't certain what exactly we were buying so we only purchased this one so we could try it out. (This book comes from a entire series about duct tape warfare.) The book was shockingly thin for the price we paid for it. I had anticipated many more projects than it actually contained due to the price. This particular book only has 11 projects in it, thirty pages in total, some of those pages contain pattern pieces. A few of the projects didn't really seem like projects to me because they were so basic, for example, making "duct tape coins" and making a cape. But, that being said, my boys and I had fun seeking out our supplies at the hardware store and my husband and the boys had a great evening assembling swords and shields. And, weeks later, they are still having sword fights with their weapons. The book definitely sparked their creativity and I'm sure we'll be making more weaponry in the future. Overall, we loved the book, just felt the price was a little much for what it actually contained so we took a star off of our rating.

Absolute fun
Got this book for my younger brother and he has had a blast making the products. Make sure you have plenty of duct tape with the book if you give it as a gift!

Hours of fun
Bought this for my 10 year old son who loves knights and dragons and all things medieval. He loves it! Make sure you have plenty of duct tape, card board and foam on hand. He has been entertained for days. I highly recommend this for creative and active children and parents too!

and it's great dad bonding time for them
Takes a lot of parent help for my 8 year old, and needs some hardware store supplies before you can begin, but my son loves it, and it's great dad bonding time for them.

Not bad
It’s alright. If it was a few dollars cheaper I would give it 5 stars.
