Works great in a Lasko tower heater.
I did not pay attention to the "No user serviceable parts inside" notice on the bottom of the heater. The motor was nearly an exact fit. I had to file down the shaft just a bit for the original nylon gear to fit. The heater is back in operation and oscillates normally. Saves $$ over buying a brand new heater.

In my case the shaft was a little taller but easily corrected it grinding it.
Was easy to install and pretty accurate on the R.P.M also is quiet and has a lot of power and the best is cheaper compared to other sellers. The size is accurate, the shaft was a little taller but that didn't affect the installation. Overall is good value for the money.

Didn't work out for us
It was a quality product but didn't fit what we needed for. Return was simple and easy.

Doesn't fit
We ordered the same motor but this one is a bit too big. Working on getting it to fit. Fingers crossed.

New Life For My Fan
The motor is well made, it was delivered promptly and was priced reasonably. I ordered this motor to replace a worn out motor that oscillates my Lasko floor fan. I actually have two Lasko floor fans and after two summer seasons of 24/7 operation, the sleeve bearing on both motors wore out (badly....egg shaped). It was a not so good design application on Lasko's part since I think a motor with a sealed ball bearing on the output shaft would have not failed so quickly. But.....Lasko sells these fans for under 100.00 so there are choices to made. With this in mind, I will periodically oil the oscillating motor's main shaft since the grease that is applied during manufacture is not sufficient. The remainder of the original motor's internal gears show no abnormal wear so I am not concerned with the replacement motor giving out as long as I apply a few drops of oil to the main shaft during the time it is running. Amazon sells quite a few of these type motors and it is very important that you inspect each one carefully to choose a replacement that matches the output shaft of the one you are replacing as close as possible. There are shafts that are round, shafts that are round with a tapped end hole, shafts with one flat, shafts with two flats, shafts with all the preceding types but of different lengths. The output shafts on these motors are hardened so modifications to them will be doable but difficult. I found it a better choice to find a motor whose shaft most closely duplicated my original and then modify the plastic lever that was attached to the end of the shaft. My original motor had two flats so that is the type I bought but the replacement motor's shaft was about .030 larger across the flats so I had to modify the plastic lever to have it slip onto the motor shaft. If you are a tinkerer it will be no big deal but your careful choice of the replacement motor type will keep your modifications down to a minimum. Unless of course, you are luckier than I was and are able to find an exact replacement. All in all, this motor saved my 100.00 fan for about 13.00 and my time. One last thing- my original motor was specified as 2-3 RPM and the replacement motor was 5-6 RPM. This turned out to be fine with me since I always thought that the original motor moved the fan back and forth painfully slowww.

Fixed my Lasko Tower Fan
Fixed the issue with my Lasko Tower Fan. The oscillating is a tiny bit faster now. Not a big deal. Shaft is close to the right size on the motor. I had to shave it slightly and drill a hole for the set screw. This was the closest motor with the right specs and shaft I could find.

Bought a vintage Santa clause that didn't work anymore. My husband pulled him apart and replaced the motor for me! This worked perfectly. He's the best.

Oh no !!!
The very reason I purchased this motor for our Napolian electric fireplace was due to the motor becoming noisy. The first motor was maybe 7 or 8 yrs old. This new motor isn't more than a month old and has started to make the same noise, so I will be contacting the manufacturer in the morning,. I will update my review accordingly
