I read the reviews thinking this should be good for my drive to Alaska from Texas. While the material is nice the heated part is utter rubbish! I didn't expect it to get super hot but I expected it to get somewhat warm. It barely feels like it's on. So unless I got a dud one, I feel the other reviews will mislead you. Probably best buying a non electric one that trap's body heat or something

Nice and cozy.
This item is nice on them long trips. My friend gets cold easy and it was the perfect answer to that problem. The blanket was also very good at relaxing a sore back. This is something everyone should keep in the car.This blanket get warm very quickly, around 1 minute!!

Keeping warm
I bought these balnkets not to long ago. The heat in my car was not working. It kept me warm on my 3 minute ride home from work. So far no problems with it. The heat works now in my car, but it will be good in case of an emergency.

Love this blanket!
My husband bought this blanket for me for Christmas. I love it. I'm always cold and this is perfect for the car. It doesn't get hot, just warm enough. I'm not sure if the voltage of your power source affects warmth, but that could be the case with the negative reviews. The cord is long enough and the blanket size is perfect. I have heated seats, so with the addition of this blanket I'm surrounded in warmth. My mom bought me one from Walmart, but this is a much softer and better quality blanket. I ended up returning that one and keeping this one. It folds nicely and comes in a decent pouch with little handles for convenient storage.
