Good item. Well worth the purchase.
Very well constructed although the installation instructions were poor. I now have two of these antennas and had to send one back because of a broken part. I used a You Tube site to get the thing assembled. You Tube is very helpful. I merely did a search for Assembly of HD-997 and got a step by step video feed.

It works really good up to 60 miles but I think in this area you have to get it at least 40 feet up to get 115 or more miles away because of the terrain, as digital signals dont go around obstacles very well. If nothing were in the way I think a shorter pole would work fine.

Don’t buy this antenna
- Poor quality materials- Antenna components broken in box- Shipping was poorly done, box partially opened and parts of the antenna were sticking out through the box- Antenna only picked up one of six local channels, all other channels were in foreign languages

I'm not happy.
The Transmitter is only a mile away and the reception breaks up or scrambles frequently for short periods. I installed a amplifier and it is still the same. I'm not happy.

It was fairly easy to put together and put up but it didn't pick up near the channels we were expecting. We only get around nine and weather seams to really affect it.

Not worth it
Purchased this product as a Christmas gift. Did not come with the remote. The remote box was melted. No instructions on how to put the item together. Vendor offered a $5.00 credit. Seriously !! After putting up the antenna, I lost 7 channels I was getting from my old broken crappy antenna. This is suppose to pick up channels in a 180 mile range. Lost channels that are only 48 miles away!
