If you suffer from dry eye try this product. It works for me and as the name indicates it really does soothe a dry eye.

I have ocular rosacea which has gotten worse with age. EVERYTHING I have tried has irritated my eyes! Because this product has NO preservatives and the the ONLY 2 ingredients are white petrolatum and mineral oil are in it, I have finally found enormous relief and no reactions to the other ingredients other night time ointments or gels use in their products! PLEASE DON'T EVER ADD ANY OTHER INGREDIENT TO THIS PRODUCT! I am sleeping through the night and the relief I have from it is wonderful! It is very hard to find an ointment with ONLY these 2 ingredients! Some years ago I had found an off brand with just these 2 ingredients and then they stopped making it. I couldn't live without this product. As other reviewers say, you put this in your eyes just before you go to bed. Be very careful not to touch your eye or your lids with the tip (yes it's messy sometimes) and always make sure your hands are clean when you use this or any product you put in your eyes. thank you Bausch and Lomb and PLEASE ALWAYS MAKE THIS AVAILABLE AND DON'T ADD ANY OTHER INGREDIENTS!

My vision is tenuous, at best. I have only one functioning eye. Lately, I've noticed blurriness when first waking up in the morning. Sometimes, the blurriness persisted for 3 hours! I was concerned. I went to my ophthalmologist to ensure that my eye was not in trouble. He recommended this ointment. I had been using some generic "white grease" eye ointment for the same purpose. This product is far softer, more transparent and seems to do a better job of lubricating the cornea. the blurriness is gone. Thank you Lord!

Ok I really never write reviews, but love this stuff. I had LASIK and my eyes were so dry it was driving me nuts. I was constantly putting drops in every 15 minutes or so. This has kept my eyes happy for many hours after use. It is an ointment so when applied your eyes will be blurry for 10-15. But, so with it for the relief! My eye doctor approved use of these as well... so it’s safe.

I have dry eye syndrome and was told that one of my eyes doesn't close all the way when I sleep, so I have to seal it down every night at bedtime. My doctor suggested that I use ointment at night and drops in the daytime, so I used this stuff for a couple of years. I was afraid to let myself run out of it, but when I finally did I realized that my eyes burn a lot less without it than they did while I was using it.

I have chronic dry eye syndrome, age 68. This eye ointment is very soothing to the eyes when applied at bedtime. It does not have any component that would be irritating to the eyes. I've tried several different kinds of eye ointments for overnight wear, and I like this one best.

It's fantastic for nighttime but I don't recommend for day, especially if you wear eye makeup. It gets the area around your eye quite greasy, no matter how little you use. In fact, less is more here, with a small amount accomplishing the same as a larger amount but with less leaking out. It is quite thick and will feel odd the first few times you use it, but I didn't have a hard time adjusting. At first, it may seem like it'll never coat your eye, but once it warms up, it spreads more easily. I find it helpful to close my eyes for a bit (30-60s) after using it and roll my eyes around to get them coated well.

I think I tried all the 4-5 star ointments on Amazon for dry eye. This one really worked the best for me. I can use it and read, unlike some other reviews. I just ordered it in the drops, too. Now I do not wake up with the sand in the eyes pain. And my eyes do not get so dry during the day. I live in the desert with dry winds blowing so the envirnment here is the worst for dry eye. Also I read a lot and on the computer a lot. It works great. Give this one a try. I am so happy Amamzon carries it as most retail plces I checked,do not.
