Pretty good, the instructions are a little weak. Pretty much just... follow these steps... There are youtube videos that explain stuff a lot better. Search for those.I have a v6, and I installed the kid with the medium shift spring. Shifts are much firmer, and the tranny seems to take hills better. It downshifts a couple gears now whereas before it would just stay in the highest gear possible.Harsh reverse engagement is still sorta there, though, even after drilling the relief holes and everything. I'm not 100% satisfied, but at least my truck works now.

Good product. I received the shift kit asap (2days). The kit went into my 97 ford explorer v6 w/ the 5r55e. After installation, the ride was really harsh but now (a week later) its still shifting a bit hard and firm but not as bad as in the beginning. Only drawback is that I have to let my car fully warm up after a cold start or else the car will shut off when I put it in gear. The car never did this before. The shift kit did fix the "lag" from shifting from reverse to drive or vice versa. Also the O/D light flashes after driving from a cold start, but later then goes off when I drive again later on the day oddly.

This kit did exactly what it claims. Repaired my shift flair and improved all around shift quality. Easy to do if you have a background in automotive. Instructions were not lacking any detail. I'd recommend to anyone.

Timely delivery, good price, instructions up to date. Product seems to have cured transmission problem, not enough mileage to rate product performance at this time. Every thing else, fine.

Item purchased for family member.

Followed instructions exactly. Not worth the time. I ended up reinstalling the original valve body. I modified a separate VB and installed transgo kit. Never again.

Worth taking the time to install.

2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0L 5-speed auto 4x4. I installed the Trans-Go Shift Kit while I had the valve body removed. The transmission now has nice crisp shifts when in drive and firmer shifts while shifting manually. Thanks
