Northeast Products Therm-A-SEAT Self-Supporting Hunting Seat Cushion

I'm 6' 1", 185lbs. Not an overweight guy. Out of the box, I put this on my living room floor and sat in it to test it out. Can this thing support my back for 30-40 minutes while on a coyote stand? First 5 minutes felt great. Bottom cushion is thick and supported me comfortably. Then I noticed that the side straps were self-loosening and I was slowly leaning back further and further. Tightened them up, they kept slipping. Tightened them again, same result, slipped again. I had read the other review that talked about the straps being threaded wrong from the factory, so I double checked mine. They were correct. Didn't matter though because after 10 minutes the right buckle cracked rendering the seat useless! It's just too cheaply made. I wouldn't buy another one.

This is a great hunting seat! It is very comfortable and I love the supporting back rest. HOWEVER a note on that: when I received this seat it was not self supporting. When I leaned back the straps would pull out. Apparently they were installed wrong at the factory so we undid the straps and put them through the opposite way. Now the seat is self supporting and I can lean back with no problems. The seat cushion is very thick and I sat for 6 hours straight hunting and was very comfortable. Highly recommend! But they need to make sure their straps are installed correctly. Still giving it 5 stars.

These seats are perfect for long sets in an uncomfortable tree stand while deer hunting. Also great for predator hunting sitting on the ground.

My husband said this was super comfortable and he absolutely lived it... right until he lost it! Will be buying the same for a replacement though because he did like it so much. 😉

I use this to go on my old deerstand seats. It would seem I’m either too tall or too fat to get it to freestand support on flat ground with no backrest. For ground hunting I use a millennium tree seat. This thing will roast your buns on a warm day. It’s great in cold.Comfortable, quiet, light. Doesn’t work for 7’6” morbidly obese folks.

I have 5 tree stands and all the seat cushions have deteriorated since I was neglectful and left them out. I purchased this one really good one and will keep it in the protected blind and grab it for whatever stand I elect to go to. It is far better than the OEMs that came with the stands

Happy. Thick cushion and can sit for hours comfortably. My straps are black as compared to pic. As mentioned in other review, won’t support itself free standing. The back needs to be up against tree. Will support 9 yr old son, without backrest. He’s not 5,10, 200+ Easy carrying, light, seems durable
