first impressions are good
A doddle to assemble. Looks like it's much easier to clean than my Pet Mate water fountain. Very quiet too.Instructions are clear. There's no mention of the pump filter - a small block of foam not the circular water filters - but it's obvious it fits next to the pump. Just needs to be squeezed a little to fit it in. See the photo - I hope I've got this right. There's no max fill line as stated in the instructions.I would prefer it if it was clear so I can see the water level at a glance. I assume it has no way to automatically stop the pump if the water level is too low. This is one advantage the Petmate water fountain has.It also seems to be tilted slightly not flat as you can see in the photo. Might just be because I haven't put it together properly.I hope the lifetime warranty is a sign the manufacturer has made this to last. The pump is the point of failure and I had lots of issues with Pet Mate pumps.Now the great test awaits: will my cat use it!One thing to note is this was delivered without an Amazon Box with the water fountain box inside. This was not an issue for me as the water fountain was intact. However the box was damaged as in the photo. If I'd bought this to gift to someone I wouldn't be happy with the damaged box but in terms of reducing cardboard and helping the planet I'm okay with a slightly damaged box.Negative points after ten days of use- yesterday evening the pump was stopping and starting. I turned it off then turned it back on this morning and it seems to be okay. But if the pump stops then your cats will be without water. The way it's designed if there's no water flow then there's no water available to drink.- I don't think the water capacity is as large as 2.8L- the lead is short. About a meter- it is sometimes noisy. i have noticed this for sometime. I assumed it was because of the water stream hitting what's a shallow puddle of water at the top of the fountain whereas the previous water fountain I had used a trickle of water pouring down a slope down into a large reservoir of water at the bottom (which provides water even if the pump fails) rather than a stream of water spurting out like this fountain. But after I turned it back on this morning it was very quiet but now a few hours later it's noisy again. I have this foutain in my bedroom so noise is an issue.- I'm not sure how effective the carbon filters are. They are much thinner than my previous water fountain and they depend on the force of gravity to push water through whereas my previous fountain used the power of the pump- the pump doesn't have variable speed control+ my cat really likes it and has been purring while using it hence I keep my rating 5*

Perfect to keep pets hydrated
My husband was worried our cat wasn’t drinking enough water in the hot weather. So I decided to try a fountain. Never used one before, the cat has always had a bowl.It was very straight forward to set up. It comes with 2 filters. Once plugged in it ready to go. The fountain has two different drink functions, slow flowing or add the spout to create a water fountain flow. The cable isn’t that long so the fountain does need to be close to a plug. My cat was unsure at first but we left it out for her to investigate and now she uses it every day. Will be perfect to keep her hydrated in the hot days

Good thing to give to your pet
My friend recommended this pet water fountain for me, she said that I must buy this water fountain and her cat liked it very much.I think packaging is sealed, the product is perfect without any damage, after I open it, it feel very good-looking, and most important is the size is perfectly suitable to put in the small room. I am planning to take as a Christmas gift for my cat, although temporarily I haven't used, but friends say water filter is very clean, in general is very good, hope my cat will like it.

Good for cats
Purchased for my cats as the old fountain has broken.My cats love this and drink happily from this water fountain.It runs very quietly and was very easy to set up. I have 3 very happy catsI like the top part which has running water from it. See my picture . It also comes with 2 filters which is very handy,This was a great bargain

Awesome little thing!
My cat loves this and I finally see her drinking water. I read online about cats not drinking still water and could not believe it. I bought this fountain and she started drinking straight away! The fountain is very easy to assemble and it’s very quiet when running ! Really happy with my purchase

Cat loves it!
Was a bit worried my cat wasnt drinking enough from a normal bowl in this hot weather. As soon as I put this down she was drinking out of it within 5 seconds! Comed with 2 filters which is really good and the water keeps moving so much better for your cat! And it looks pretty to! Very happy buyer

My budgie loves it!
Got this to use as a bird bath for my little water baby, it's quite shallow and it's angled downwards rather than flat but if you prop it up so it tilts backwards a little it works perfectly. He loves splashing around on it and gets very angry when the jets of water catch him off guard!It's a nice enriching toy for him and I'd recommend it if your budgie is the curious type.
