Best Deal I've Seen
I purchased these more-so out of curiosity. $15 for a pair of 16-channel FRS walkies isn't much to lose, and I'm very satisfied so far. These Qianghongs appear identical to models being sold under a variety of names, albeit at a much better price. As far as I can tell, these are no different than what is being sold by Baofeng, Retevis, Ansoko, Proster, Greaval, Arcshell, etc. Some quick observations:- The manual is legible and easy to understand (no shoddy translations like my first Baofeng HAM).- I've tested them for basic functionality and they seem to perform as advertised.- Range seems comparable to a pair of FRS Midlands I own. An added benefit of these walkies is the option to install an upgraded antenna (something you won’t find with most FRS units like my Midlands). The Nagoya NA-771R antennae that I use on one of my HAMs seemed to fit perfectly, and I assume most other SMA-Female antennas will as well.- Durability remains to be seen, but these designs aren't known to be excessively fragile. I’m going to assume their durability is on par with their identical-looking brethren, which have received high marks.- They don't appear to have any sort of waterproof/IP rating and the manual advises you keep them dry, but again, their peers receive decent marks in incidental water contact (ie. sweat, rain, etc.).- The batteries CAN be damaged if you overcharge them, according to the manual (no smart auto-cutoff or trickle charging). To charge, you place it on the dock and wait for the red indicator light to turn green. If these are indeed identical to their similar-looking counterparts, this is a steal. Most competitors appear to be marketing these models for roughly twice the price per unit, so you might as well grab them here.

Mind blown.
I purchased these radios to keep in touch with my eight year old while she is playing in the back yard...she loves walkie talkies. At this price point, I did not expect much. Boy was I wrong! After charging the batteries, my kid and I have been using the radios; our roof is metal, and even cellular phone signal is iffy here...but these radios, from inside the house to 400 - 500 yds outside were loud and clear! But...Yesterday, curious about the reach of these radios, I left my kid and wife in the yard with one unit, while I got into the truck and began driving with the other unit. The units were LOUD AND CLEAR for exactly 2.5 miles! This, in hilly terrain with buildings and trees! After that, the transmission quality began to degrade, but we could still talk well at 3 miles...eventually becoming very spotty at 5 miles. Who knows how far these would talk LOS without terrain and other obstructions.Bonus: they're so light they seen to be toys...but they're not. The battery lasts much longer than we need it to.I have a pair of Motorola radios that won't touch these radios, and cost five times as much!Highly recommended!

Out of the box awesome
I'm replacing some older FRS radios. Out of the box the batteries were charged and after easy to follow instructions we had the radios working. The radio actually tells you what channel you are on. I drove a 1/2 mile away and my wife who was in the house heard me loud and clear. Hmmm I went out to two miles and again loud and clear. We live in very hilly wooded terrain. We both were really impressed and my wife questioned the unbelievable price. I can't rate them on long term use but out of the box they are awesome.

they work buttttttt
Theyre don't reach far... I took these for a portaging trip.. was great when we were travelling on the roads and stuff where there are clear openings..Now once we got to our Docking area, the boys had to go get the canoe and when they came back told me they've been trying to talk on the radio but wasn't going through.. I'd say only a few kms or maybe 2 miles..nothing special about these..OHHH one cool thing, they Radios speak to you for what channel youre on and whether youd turned on the radio.will say "ON", "CH 5" etc. that's about it..

Very Good Buy.
Bought these for me and my son to replace the terrible Nerf walkie-talkies that we’re actually more expensive. The sound is loud and clear and build quality is very good. I haven’t been able to get the 3-5 mile range and not sure why, maybe because one was indoors while I was outdoors, but a few blocks from my home and it works well. can’t beat the price.

Not compatible with other brands
QiangHong walkie talkies are not compatible with other brand walkie talkies. I tried testing it with my Uniden with no avail. Even though they were on the same channels, they weren't communicating with each other. These QianHong walkie talkies do great communicating with each other though. Very clear and crisp sound between these two walkie talkies.

No earphones
What features are good! The sound effect is also very good. The receiving effect is also very good. The frequency is very high. It can be up to 15 frequencies. It is 10 frequencies that I bought before. The only downside is that this is not the only headset that is the only defect I feel. I suggest you keep up with the next time. Headphones, or I have to send another sum of money to buy a mobile phone, I think I am not worthwhile, but repurchase, unless there are headphones with no headphones, then I will not buy back.

Great range!!!
A must for vacation resorts and camping. I use for monitoring the kid when I'm working outside or taking small trips around town.
