Smells likes eggs.
That's not a bad thing, because sulfer smells like eggs. I use it in certain dishes like vegan aquafaba mayonnaise, vegan eggs and vegan broths. Very tasty!

Good for scrambled tofu
This is very flavorful with a strong scent - just like eggs. My previous purchase was at an international grocer but they were out of it on my last trip. I use for scrambled tofu but will likely never used the entire package as a little goes a long way.

I'm not vegan but I had some vegan egg salad one time and it was very tasty. I tried to figure out how they got it tasting so egg-y. Tofu, mayo, celery, mustard, and secret ingredient.... black salt.

Beautiful salt
This is the highest quality, black salt that I have ever purchased very big chunks that I use my mortar and pestle to break down really good packaging very tightly sealed and was shipped super fast for anybody looking for high-quality black salt. I would definitely recommend this product.

Not a great choice for homemade puffed rice
I bought this salt to make homemade puffed rice. But the salt was too light and so I couldn't really see the puffed up rice before it overcooked/got brown..This salt is great for cooking with, but for specific uses like puffing rice, where the visual contrast between the salt and the food is crucial, it might not be the best fit due to its lighter color. Despite this, its health benefits and flavor enhancement capabilities make it a worthy addition to the kitchen for other culinary experiments.

Smells and tastes so much like eggs, especially hard boiled eggs, that it freaked me out. lol Haven't tried it yet, but I have zero doubt it will make anything you add it to, especially tofu, taste like eggs!

Must have in Any Kitchen
I recently started using this black salt more.Not only in Indian cooking, but when eating home sprouted seeds , sprinkling a bit of the black salt prevents digestive issues with gas .I also use it with lentils when making dal. Overall a great way to prevent stomach problems.

Have been transitioning to a WFPB (Whole Food Plant Based) lifestyle for over a year now - on the whole, it has been successful. I give myself the odd 'hall-pass' for a sushi meal/fish dish now and again. I had already accepted the fact long ago that I would never taste an egg again. Exactly what I expected, is just the package could be stronger. Need to keep it in ziplock or jar. Great ingredient if you don’t eat eggs to add that specific taste to your meals.
