Melissa & Doug Press and Serve Wooden Waffle Set (23 pcs) - Play Food and Kitchen Accessories

This has quickly become my twin girls's favorite Melissa and Doug set. They love to make waffles for themselves and for Mommy and Daddy! They also love to put all the waffle pieces in the waffle maker and what's great is it's almost like a little puzzle. This set had provided countless hours of play for my girls!Pros:The way the velcro is situated you can stack the syrup, butter, and strawberries or chocolate chips all on top of one another so you can have one fully loaded and delicious waffle.The set comes with four strawberry pieces and four chocolate chip pieces so if you want chocolate chips all over your waffle you can.There is only velcro on one side of the waffle so if you want to have a plain waffle you can.The toy knife and velcro work really well together. For some reason this set is much easier for my girls to cut through than the slice and serve fruit set.ConsThe velcro, while necessary, can be a pain. Dog hair and other little fuzzies tend to stick to it which looks icky.I wish it came in a wooden box like some of Melissa and Doug sets. I have never been able to figure out the rhyme or reason to which sets get a wooden box verse those that don't.The placemat is cardboard. This is step up from the paper placemat in the Melissa and Doug Grill and Serve BBQ set but I wish it was laminated or made of that sturdy plastic that the menu cards are made of in some Melissa and Doug sets.Overall I think this is a wonderful set and would highly recommend it.

I wish I would have had a toy set like this when I was younger. We gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she LOVES it! It is so well made, like everything Melissa and Doug makes, and it is nice that the set is wood and not plastic. We know it will last through all of our kiddos. It comes with waffles, toppings and even a waffle iron. The box turns into a little place setting. How cute is that? The pieces Velcro together so your little one can "cut" them apart with a little knife. It goes well with our Kidcraft kitchen. There is just something about wooden toys that scream WELL MADE and durable. Very fun set for boys or girls and a neat little learning tool also for basic knife usage. The pancake set is also really fun. We are going to buy this set again as a gift for another little girl. Keep your little chef's busy!

This waffle set is super cute! We play with this everyday. We also bought the milk and syrup condiment set and the pancake set. It’s super fun! We pretend we have a restaurant and specialize in pancakes/waffles. It also comes with toppings such as strawberries and chocolate chips. This toy is educational because you can count the chocolate chips, find motor skills include cutting the stick of butter (Velcro) and pouring (pretend) syrup and milk.

Such a cute set. My 3 year old loves making real waffles with me. And now loves making his own. It’s so fun and customizable. We have several Melissa and Doug food kits, you can’t go wrong.

I knew my day was going to improve when the truck pulled up at my home with this cable deep within. No ordinary truck, this one was Holy White, and the gold Delivery logo sparkled like a thousand suns reflected through shards of the purest ice formed with unadulterated water collected at the beginning of the universe. The driver, clad in a robe colored the softest of white, floated towards me on the cool fog of a hundred fire extinguishers. He smiled benevolently, like a father looking down upon his only child, and handed me a package wrapped in gold beaten thin to the point where you could see through it. I didn't have to sign, because the driver could see within my heart, and knew that I was pure. Upon opening the package, an angelic choir started to sing, and reached a crescendo as I pulled the product from the box, all the while, the choir sang praises to the almighty. With trepidation, I began to use the product and was instantly enveloped in a sound of angels that echoed the creation of all matter, a sound that vibrated every cell in my body to perfection. I was instantly taken to the next plane, where I saw the all-father. I knew with my entire soul, that all was good in the world.

Very cute set, but hasn't gotten as much play as her other Melissa & Doug food/kitchen sets.

Kids love this waffle set! They are very excited to see something different among the play food pieces! There is a ‘table setting’ printed on the inside of the box for the kids to serve the waffle.

This was a gift from Santa and my kids LOVE it - it has been a great addition to our kitchen play area! There are a fair amount of smaller wooden pieces (toppings) that I wouldn't recommend for young children, We tend to keep them in a baggy so they are not lost and always make sure they are put away when my niece is visiting - but part of the reason we love this set IS that they have all of these fun toppings - so we consider this a very acceptable trade off!

Melissa and Doug products are amazing!at first I debated because the price seemed a bit high.When the product arrived at my house and I saw the detail and exceptional qualityI actually thought it to be sightly under priced.The product will last for a very long time . Gurantee my children will outgrow them before they break
