OrientMens Analogue Japanese Automatic Watch with Rubber Strap RA-AA0005B19B

I purchased this watch as I wanted an every-day diver and like the idea of an automatic watch - being able to wind it by wearing or by hand if needed (no battery needed). Having looked at lots of reviews online, the Orient Kamasu Maku III diver seemed a great bet.First up, I absolutely love the colour of this watch. It is great to see a manufacturer doing an off-silver case which goes better with the black and gold, really making it pop. It also looks less 'blingy' on, and more stylish in my opinion. The bezel is solid and rotating is nice and firm with a satisfying click as you rotate. The lumo on the hands and number sections is excellent and there is also a nice addition of lumo on the dot above the zero point on the bezel.That is the key thing with this watch really - the detail. It is beautifully made and quite heavy to hold. Quality construction and sapphire glass to prevent scratches!The only issue I would point out it that the strap is made from soft touch rubber. Whilst I prefer this as a very comfortable strap, the soft surface really attracts dust and fibres from clothing. Easy to wipe off, but it only occurs due to the material used on the strap. Some have had issues with strap length, but I have a 7.5 inch wrist and it fits me perfectly.I bought this on offer and am extremely happy with it - so much so that I would buy it for a higher price. as it is well worth it.

This watch looks superb. My second Orient watch and once again the bang per buck is second to none. It looks and wears fantastic. I love the black and gold, different to any other watch I own. And the spec for a sub £200 watch is amazing. Hacking and hand winding, date and day complications, but also sapphire glass. The size is spot on for my 7" wrist, can't fault it in any way.Edit: Just a note about the strap, it wears very comfortably but like another reviewer I feel it is a bit long, rubber dive straps are designed long to fit over wetsuits. I like to swap straps around anyway and sometimes wear it with a black leather sports strap, which really goes well with the watch. However, recently I have been wearing it with a black, stainless steel mesh strap. It looks perfect and wears beautifully, plus waterproof, no sweating issues etc.

Here it is, folks - the dream of the sub-£200 watch collector, an automatic with decent accuracy, day-date complication, self-winding and hacking with - get this - sapphire glass. The aluminium bezel has a pleasing “clickiness”, all the markers line up and the rubber strap is comfortable and feels hard-wearing so far. A couple of minor issues - the protectors around the crown make it difficult to screw in and unscrew (this being the point to keep it water resistant, of course) and pulling the crown out to the date change setting is quite a fiddle. Some may find the gold trim on this Kamasu model a little ostentatious but developed a soft spot for its hint at luxury. Styling is very standard for a diver, but the indents around the bezel helps distinguish the design.

Great in house movement with hack and wind (second hand stops when setting time), saphire crystal (scratch resistent), love the clear dial, good lume. I have small wrists at 6.25 inches, and normally do not buy this diameter watch. However the lug to lug distance is 46.8mm, short enough with the style for me to wear comfortably. So much so that this is the second of this model I have. I also have the blue in my collection. When looking for a black watch with gold trim, I kept coming back to this model, in the end I made an excellent choice.

Brilliant watch, strap comfortable but too long

Thought I would treat myself with nice new Orient watch after the tiring struggles at work, and am very pleased with my treat. Have previously purchased a Orient one with a metal strap and needed a different style this time.It has a sharp great looking bezel and stands out with great accuracy on time.Easy to wind up and also correct time and date.Strap is quite standard, tough and durable.

I started my collection with this watch, and I have to say it is a beauty and for what you get for the price is hard to beat.I replaced the original strap for a leather one, otherwise I can't say anything bad about it.

Have been wanting this watch for a while and found it on a really good offer.. totally love the look of the product and it's classic look.Worth the price and totally recommend this.
