Very happy subscriber for years.
Really delicious as snack or light meal. Fondue is a royal pain to make. This stuff tastes excellent and keeps perfectly in our pantry. Heats up fast and fine in the microwave. Decadent with apples, celery, etc. as well as fresh bread. All year, too, not just for winter!

Too salty
Too salty, couldn't eat it. Trying to return the rest of the case.

Excellent fondue, but not inexpensive
Swiss Knight Fondue is something I remember fondly from when I was a kid--fondue was popular in the 70s and 80s, and we had this from time to time. I was pleasantly surprised when I found it's still available--it even still comes in the same packaging! But best of all, Swiss Knight turns out to be one of those few things you remember from your childhood that turn out to be just as good as they seemed at the time. It's not cheap, especially when ordered online with shipping charges--but you'd be hard-pressed to find a substitute of equal quality. The fondue pack is also easy to use. Cut up some bread, maybe steam some vegetables for better variety--and nutrition--in dipping. (I find broccoli works very well for this, as it absorbs the cheese and goes well with the flavor; the kids have to finish the broccoli before they can start dipping the bread--helps insure they get their veggies.) Then empty the packet into your chafing dish if you have one (or use a small saucepan), and melt the cheese at low heat directly on the stovetop. That may sound wrong, but I've found if I use my fondue set's built-in burner to melt the cheese, some of it burns to the bottom, whereas the stovetop gives better control and allows a lower heat. Then transfer to your fondue set (or a hot plate), and dip away.

Easy to store and travel with
This year at Burning Man, my camp was doing fondue for their gift to the community and these fondue packs were amazing. Shelf-stable until opened and tasted delicious with some extra seasoning (I used smoked paprika/garlic/fresh cracked pepper in one, truffle salt in another). When it first comes out, it looks very lumpy but after heating and stirring, it smooths out beautifully. Would definitely recommend a fondue pot for even heating and non stick surface and if you need fast and easy cleanup, use slow cooker liners over low low heat and a bit of water in between the pot and liner to act as a double broiler. Bread, pretzel bites, fresh apples, and dried apricots were popular dipping foods we used!
