Glue-coated polyolefin shrinkage, with a 3: 1 shrink rate, this tube shrinks to 1/3 of its diameter when heated. It is suitable for a variety of applications such as electrical insulation, strain relief cable ties, colour coding and identification. When the tube heats up to 1/3 it is diameter and the adhesive lining melts and flows around the material covered giving a durable weather binding. Due to the type of heat shrink tube, it is often a little larger than its stated pre-shrunk size, but the tube always shrinks to 1/3 of the said pre-shrunk size.
